Worst Audible I've ever listened to. Parts of this Audible were whispered and I turned up the volume and still it was annoying muffled. Whenever Joyce was mumbling and whispering, I had to go back and try to figure out what she wad saying and often it was completely inaudible and jumbled. Plus, I was disappointed in the story which was flat and insipid.

Good Theme

This is a good listen! I took away one star only because I felt the actions of some of the characters were not entirely believable.But, I loved the psychological insights into human behaviors. Plus , this story is a timely reminder that women must embrace their inner and outer power. No more should any woman strive for the pat on the head and the phrase, "you're a good girl" . It is instead time for women to pay attention and to believe their inner voices and intuitional feelings.

For fans of Stuart MacBride

Fortunately, I've read a lot of Stuart MacBride's unique writing style . so, I got exactly what I expected and was again amused and entertained. I must give a lot of credit to this Audible which is extremely well done. I took off one star because, while I knew I was in for a lot of violence, this violence seemed over the top even for Stuart MacBride's, so, be forewarned. All in all , I did find this novel to be a stellar listening experience.

Vintage Elizabeth Peters Fun

If you are familiar with the series, you will have a lot of fun with this Audible edition. The voices are extremely well done and add considerably to the humor. As this is an older series, it may not be appreciated by younger listeners, but, for us boomers, this is a laugh out loud adventure with a bit if Egyptian archaeology thrown in. I loved it!

What Real?

Wow! I loved this sort of psychological mystery! I just kept listening as the story became more and more intricate and intriguing. I know what I thought at the end, but, you can decide for yourself what you think. Fascinating!

Good advice

This series of lectures is interesting and contains good advice that can help in a survival situation. The lecturer has a grating voice. Also, a lot of the points were repetitive. The survival stories are interesting and informative. I think this is well worth listening to, despite the minor irritations.

Exceptional

I truly enjoyed every bit of this biography which is never boring. The narrator is pleasant and easy to listen to without causing the listener to dose off! I did catch one or two mistakes, but, in a tome like this , I felt overall she did exceptionally well. This biography is well researched, yet, reads like an interesting story. I liked the references to the other poets of the time. The ending of course is the deepest, most heart-rending part. Recommended.

Psychological Perfection

While this book may not be a fit for everyone, I especially enjoy psychological thrillers. It is a true challenge for a writer to get into the minds of his or her characters. Why do people behave as they do?. I don't want to just read a decent murder mystery. I want to know why there are murderers and what makes a person a victim. I think the narrator has the perfect voice as she narrates what is going on in the psychopath's mind. I recommend this Audible book!

I absolutely loved this Audible book! I was stunned by the beautiful descriptions of nature, held my breath during some of the more suspenseful sections, loved the wisdom and philosophy , and appreciated the insights in personal growth. This book is well written and wonderfully narrated.

Very well done Audible book! I enjoyed this very much! Highly recommended. Only one particular thing irritated me, so, that's why I only gave this 4 stars. I don't want to spoil the story, so, I won't mention it in this brief review.
