Amazing narrator, awesome book!!
Revisado: 10-05-23
I listen to a lot of audiobooks… More like I start a lot, (500+ in my library plus the ones I listen to from the local library) but don’t finish many. This seriously it’s one of my top 20 favorite books that I’ve listen to so far from audible. The story is creative, and yet again, I must say, the narration is exceptional. I highly recommend this one.

Good story, great narrator
Revisado: 04-28-23
I thought the premise for this book was interesting and decent. however the narrator put this book over the top as an audiobook. We all know those books that are good but an absolute chore to listen to due to the narrator- this was not that.

For years, guitarist Quinn Porter has been on the road, chasing gig after gig, largely absent to his twice-ex-wife Belle and their odd, Guinness records-obsessed son. For seven Saturdays Quinn does yard work for Ona Vitkus, the spry 104-year-old Lithuanian immigrant the boy had visited weekly.

Awesome narrator, charming book
Revisado: 03-24-23
I love this book! I have several hundred books in my audible library with one of my all-time favorites. I was a little wary in using the credit because it seemed like such an odd storyline. However, the narrator was awesome and one of the most perfect narrations of any audible books I have heard.
I very much enjoyed this “read.”

Historia
Travis Wren has an unusual talent for locating missing people. Often hired by families as a last resort, he takes on the case of Maggie St. James—a well-known author of dark, macabre children’s books—and is soon led to a place many believed to be only a legend. Called Pastoral, this reclusive community was founded in the 1970s by like-minded people searching for a simpler way of life. By all accounts, the commune shouldn’t exist anymore and soon after Travis stumbles upon it…he disappears. Just like Maggie St. James.

I really liked this book! It’s one of the few books I’ve listen to, start to finish in a short amount of time. I struggled a little to keep track of the characters at first, the narrators sounded similar at. I caught on, and really liked the book. Highly recommend!

Though the information is very interesting and relevant, I struggle with the narrator. The strange pauses are annoying. Nuff said!

Historia
When Rin aced the Keju - the Empire-wide test to find the most talented youth to learn at the Academies - it was a shock to everyone: to the test officials, who couldn’t believe a war orphan from Rooster Province could pass without cheating; to Rin’s guardians, who believed they’d finally be able to marry her off and further their criminal enterprise; and to Rin herself, who realized she was finally free of the servitude and despair that had made up her daily existence. That she got into Sinegard - the most elite military school in Nikan - was even more surprising.

Dislike Narrator
Revisado: 04-30-21
ThoughI finished this book, I did not love it. I very much dislike to the narrator. It was hard for me to separate the book from the narrator so I’m not sure I would’ve liked it better we’re not for her
