I have really liked all the other books this author has written and this side quest was beautifully written. there was comedy, action and a little bit of romance and it kept me listening the whole time.

A great continuation of the story

I really like how the author is moving towards the kids as being the main characters because we still get the same old cool tricks and "magic" but with a refreshing twist on it. I also like how Martin and Phillip aren't entirely gone. I will be looking forward to a family adventure.

Great side story from the talking beer can

I love Skippy and Joe but they can be a bit redundant if you're constantly listening to them so this is a great break from that but still getting that military sci-fi feel that most people want out of these books.

A great beginner's guide

I rescued my first dog about a month ago and I had been following Zak George on YouTube to get a better understanding on how to train my dog. I commute most of the day so watching videos is hard but listening to him go through the steps has really helped me in understanding what I need to do. The videos are amazing too if you get a chance to watch them. Within the past month I've had friends, family, and different veterinary personal astounded at the bond that I have with my dog. People are always telling me good job for training her right but the praise has to go to Zak George because if it wasn't for him I would be listening to all that dominance nonsense that people have always been talking about. This is a better change for the right direction.

Different than the rest

Usually the book series always has the pirate crew experience the same problems over and over again finding their way out in the same way each time, but this book gives the story a different feel. I'm glad that the book focused on one major problem the whole time. I also really like that we get a bit more into Skippy's backstory than usual

Great Continuation

This book was a great continuation from the first one. I'm really glad that we were able to keep diving into the plot while learning more about each character and finding new ones on the way. I really like that author makes the reader think about who is right or wrong if there even is such a thing in this world.

Another great back story

It's really nice to listen to what was happening to these characters before they met Jason or during the time he was away. This back story is very interesting and really let's the reader get. behind the scenes of the true story.

A Great Side Quest

I'm glad that we were given a look into what Riley was doing during the time the second book was focusing in on Jason. I don't want to say any spoilers in case people are reading these books out of order but you should or else this book will have some gaps in it for you.

Jason cannot catch a break

This book was written and preformed extremely well. Jason seems to be getting into problems as quickly as he can fix them but the story doesn't seem redundant at all. The book had a very good flow to it and kept me listening at every moment.

An edgy take on a protagonist

I love the fact that this main character choose the path of the dark rather than given the power of the light. the story flows smoothly and it's performed pretty well.
