Historia
Guy is about to finish writing his breakthrough online article. He overheard the story by chance in a pub and it’s guaranteed to go viral - all he needs to do is persuade the World’s Unluckiest Man to talk to him. His best friend Larry’s quest for killer clickbait material has led him to a recently appeared shanty town in Glasgow, where he finds some kind of urban voodoo cult. Ex-cop Sam has already come face-to-face with the terrifying force behind both these phenomena, but he’s been trying to put it out of his mind.

Wow! this was BAD!
Revisado: 01-07-23
I was so terrified another review would end up being correct… this person called this essentially a GOOSEBUMPS novel… & unfortunately they were correct…
The “scariest” part of this book is actually in the preview you get to hear. But let me go into why this sucked…
•The characters… they were insufferable!! The main guy is basically a middle aged man w/ serious anger issues (these issues are CONSTANTLY brought up, but never manifest into anything outside his own mind..) he is fairly unlikeable, zero humor in him, no backstory, nothing about him that stands out. He’s just some guy that was verbally abusive to his ex-wife…
Speaking of the wife… WOW! You know those characters that are so shallow, & so little used that their only purpose seems to be to attempt to prop up the lead? Yep, that’s here. All we get from her are just constantly texting Guy, & saying “are you ok?” “Promise me you won’t quit”… that’s it haha seriously I wish I were joking… but the way the relationship is written… they really want us to care for her, & be scared for her safety… I just kept skipping ahead when she shows up…drove me insane…the secondary character while being also fairly useless, is slightly better than anyone else… OH! And he ALSO HAS ANGER ISSUES HAHA. Wow… that’s not just my opinion btw… the writer literally brings it up CONSTANTLY…
•Monsters… I’m a massive monster fan… my favorite film is THE THING. Make of that what you will… these monsters are pathetic. They are only described ONE TIME… which is (not kidding) once everything is finished essentially, & there’s around 50 minutes left in the book… & the description is seriously how I feel kids would describe a monster… the whole ‘big teeth’ thing… earlier the only info we get on the monster is that it’s big. It’s generally supposed to be around the size of a bear (what kind? WHO KNOWS THEY DONT SAY! Haha) aaaaand when it’s described slightly the first time… the idea of it just wouldn’t work. The size they talk about just is either too big… or too small to do what it’s doing at certain moments… it’s really bizarre… one minute it’s SWALLOWING a grown man… the next its moving fairly easily through a home… yeah… work that out in your mind….
The monsters just suck… SUCK!!!! Nothing about them is scary. The narrator does his best & I respect it… but it just wasn’t good. Don’t except ANYTHING you haven’t seen 100x already. This monster would make an …OK Goosebumps episode ….
•STORY… suffers from basically the issues with the monster & the characters wrapped into one. It just drones on & on… the characters spend more time sitting around, getting angry with each other, & just nonsense than anything…
There’s a few plot holes or just wasted themes, such as the whole “they can’t use tech” really playing no role at all, or that they try to kind of hint at a soul/afterlife, only to drop it after about a chapter… but I’m not really interested in even getting into them all… oh and yeah, it is kind of one of those “no one sees the monster but me…” type things which is just… SO TIRED!!!
Did I mention how obnoxious & boring the wife is? She is honestly so lazily written it’s frustrating.
I wasn’t creeped out or scared at any point in the book even ONCE… I could MAYBE see it creep out a 13-15 yr old…? But idk.
I just don’t get the huge praise for this AT ALL. It does NOTHING new at all… absolutely NOTHING. Not one thing in this hasn’t been done better many times. The characters are laughably shallow & just plain boring. I could sense the author was TRYING to go for the whole… *middle aged guy, over the hill, life crumbling down, needs a change* type thing… but I just found myself disliking him. Not to mention the side kick character was pretty much the same. Anger issues… that’s about all we really learn about them.
I’ll be honest… I just gave up with around 40 minutes to go. I already got to the kinds “twist” … though I’m using that term very loosely… & yeah, you’ll see it coming a mile away… honest monsters… gee that couldn’t backfire eh?
Anyways… if you give it a try… think of me as you laugh when you’re like, “haha Goosebumps… so true!”

LOL. Ridiculous
Revisado: 08-04-22
One review actually said that, “those who left bad reviews must be racist”. Lol, it’s actually funny that people I think that if someone doesn’t find being tried to feel guilty for the color of their skin as a very powerfully message, they just must be racist.
Isn’t there a word for when people are judged for being a specific skin color?? Hmm…
Anyways, to save you some time, the moral of the story is basically, white people who have wealth are bad people. What a powerful message.

Most people who resist logical thought in baseball preach "tradition" and "respecting the game". But many of baseball's traditions go back to the 19th century, when the pitcher's job was to provide the batter with a ball he could hit and fielders played without gloves. Instead of fearing change, Brian Kenny wants fans to think critically, reject outmoded groupthink, and embrace the changes that have come with the "sabermetric era".

“IM RIGHT, YOURE WRONG”
Revisado: 07-28-22
My title sums up this entire book, that’s all it is.
The idea of this is SHOULD be to convince old school fans the new way is right. No to just tell them how stupid they’ve been.
He non-stop hammers over n over how AVG./Wins/Saves etc. are all outdated stats, & funny enough… offers little in the area of better options. All it is is, “get rid of_________” over n over.
WE GET IT… Avg. DOESNT tell everything, people have known this for so long, but Kenny goes on as if he was the first one to notice this. I have 1980s tops cards w/ OBP/OPS on the back of them… so chill out Kenny.
Not only is he unbelievably negative in every chapter (you’d think this guy HATES baseball) but while talking about OPS/OBP/OPS+ etc… he doesn’t even bother breaking down for people how these stats are measured… granted, most MLB fans know… but to someone who only knows AVG/RBI/HRs… what good is throwing out all these alphabet soup acronyms if you don’t even at a simple level, explain what they mean? An example:
“Avg. Is flawed, because, X/Y/Z… a much better measurement would be, OPS.”
Not bothering to go into what it’s about.
This book won’t really help anyone wanting to learn analytics understand them… all it does is constantly yell at the listener about why analytics are the only logical way.
By chapter 9, the negative energy he was giving off just turned me off badly. He just came across as extremely angry, & bitter.
Then again… he always has been kind of a “know it all” D-Bag types even on TV… never played a game, but he’s mocking MLB pitchers who feel Wins mean something as stats…. but I gave it a chance..

A shadowy government operative is offering him a deal. Brandon is listening. Intently. Cliché possession story
Revisado: 04-23-22
I knew this was gonna be a risk… but I went for it based on reviews… I was let down…
(MINOR SPOILERS, & DNF)
If I could describe this book in one word? CLICHÉ .
You’ve got your basic, ancient evil spirit that possesses people, why? Cuz it’s evil I guess??
You’ve got your special group that’s charged w/ keeping this spirit locked away for generations..
You’ve got your ridiculous Military set-up. That is laughable in its accuracy. With troops cursing out their commanding officers, disobeying orders… general ridiculous Hollywood stuff that never actually happens… but sounds cool.
Youve got the new C.O (officer) in charge of a tough group of Special Forces guys who of course hate him trope.
You’ve got your special forces are basically indestructible trope.
You’ve got your gifted child that will end up being the only hope trope.
And I’ll be honest… I didn’t finish it, so I can’t confirm… but I’d almost bet that the final ones standing will be 1 soldier, & the child.
Seriously… NOTHING here stood out. Nothing was scary, nothing was new… and the military tactics were clearly so badly researched… the action couldn’t even save it, due to how ridiculous the soldiers acted…
I’m unwilling to wait 8+ hours in for it to get good if it ever was going to… sorry.
Voice work was fine.

Mind numbing boring
Revisado: 03-03-22
NEVER have I consumed information on Stalingrad that I found boring… until now. Unit details are 90% of the text.. which wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t repeated over n OVER. Stalingrad btw isn’t even MENTIONED until part 2: Chapter 7-8… nearly 5-7 hours in…
I don’t need to know EVERY bridge & hill that some obscure unit captured…
I enjoy learning about specific units & who were what exactly… but my LORD!!! I thought I was going to lose my MIND at how many numbers are thrown at you. Not FIGURES… but unit numbers… it’s all you hear.. we don’t need to know the title of EVERY SINGLE unit on the Eastern Front …
BOOKS LIKE THIS…? Remind me why as a teen I found history (SADLY…) boring. Because I wrongly believed THIS was what history was..

Historia
Upon the end of days, Lucifer, the Fallen One, that Infernal of Infernals and Murderer of Hope, wonders if his Father will bother to raise another race after Armageddon. After all, he'll only have to tempt them - again - to certain death. Their choice, not his. On God's behalf, Archangel Michael responds. So begins a series of letters between two brothers, at once cordial and combative, about their purpose, their fears, their familial estrangement, and their Father's great folly: the human race.

SIMPLE, yet UNIQUELY ORIGINAL!! “mood” listen tho!
Revisado: 01-30-22
(I give below vague, but accurate topics the 2 former brother Angels discuss. You’ll see them beginning w/ •bullet points) no spoilers!!!
This is absolutely straight forward. It’s literally letters going back & forth (debating) between LUCIFER & the ARC ANGEL MICHAEL. That’s it lol. Which will either interest you… or not at ALL.
Adam Verner did overall a great job!!! Michael & Lucifer I have to say… DIDNT vary much in voice however, so much so that if I didn’t hear the current letters author.. at times I would not be fully sure WHO is speaking. Lucifer DOES I suppose have a BIT more of a snarky, prideful tone.. but yeah. Very similar… however, he absolutely pulls you in, making you feel these are 2 ancient beings actually arguing!! Credit for that :)
It’s obviously total fiction, but interestingly enough … unless I missed something, it’s a debate on the value of humanity, but NOT on Earth. It’s a totally unique planet (not sure why… maybe to give freedom of events n such..?) I believe it’s named, “Terra”??? If I’m not mistaken.
Also… something I found kinda interesting as well, they really DONT get into biblical arguments at all. Basically everything they’re arguing is philosophy, & the inherent value of human beings. The worthiness of humans.
That’s essentially it lol. Which sounds kind of odd. How could one fill hours upon hours of simply, 2 Angels (Michael vs The Devil) literally responding to each other in letters!? Well, I was pleased to find out that it actually wasn’t boring really. The philosophical debates were at times FASCINATING actually… & largely NOT using Christianities Bible to back up/make claims … gave it a unique aspect… where you were never quite sure what you were going to hear as an answer or rebuttal. It allowed the author to be as original as he wanted regarding this worlds, RULES/LAWS/MORALITY/RELIGION/EVENTS/HISTORY/TEACHINGS/ etc etc. so he wasn’t bound by the Bible.
Being 100% FICTION (even the WORLD it’s on is fictional!) you must go into it w/ an OPEN mind, not expecting to only hear Biblical preaching, or standard Christian go answers. If someone comes into it expecting a very Bible based, CHRISTIAN centered story…? They’ll be kind of disappointed INFACT… i don’t recall if Christianity/Islam/Judaism etc even EXIST in this story, it’s not made clear what SCRIPTURE says is right from wrong… which is NEAT, because it really opens the overall story up to be taken in different ways! Maybe what Earthly religions know & teach is TOTALLY different from this worlds doctrine! This allows the 2 Angels to debate & argue simply on HUMANITIES VALUE IN GODS EYES… that’s IT. That aspect I found… very unique, & totally didn’t expect it!
- clearly it’s not meant to be taken literal haha. But yeah… overall it was fun!!
I WILL SAY… it ABSOLUTELY *IS* A “MOOD” KINDA LISTEN! If that makes sense… I found if I wasn’t VERY CHILL/RELAXED, clear minded… I struggled to really get into it…this *ISNT* meant to be SUSPENSEFUL, FAST PACED, INTESE ACTION! Haha, it’s literally 2 infinitely old ANGELS that are very calm & deeply focused, simply DEBATING … mostly HUMANITIES VALUE/WORTH! Hence… MOOD TYPE LISTEN. :)
I ENJOYED IT OVERALL! I didn’t much get the reason besides, “wouldn’t this be a COOL book topic!?!” Lol which yeah it is I suppose.
I am kind of a power listener… I tend to crush a FULL audiobook between 1-5 sittings. So I typically listen for 2-5+ hrs per night… however, THIS.. due to the context, tone, & again… overall… WAY the content is delivered (in calm, slower speaking, deeply focused voices back & forth) it did take me about 15 days to finish it. I’d listen for 25 min - an hour at a time every other day or so. However, if I were on a camping trip, visiting family, on a long plane flight, or anywhere that I had to QUIETLY pass time…? You could for sure crush this within 1-3 days easily.
The main debate topics (NOT necessarily in chronological order!!) if I recall are essentially:
•Lucifer arguing that humanity ISNT worthy of God love, nor his view of their value.
•Michael arguing that it isn’t for Angels to decide what God takes interest in, or values.
•Lucifer goes over the countless evils caused by humanity. As well as the way humans can often have a cruel/evil/ungrateful attitude.
•Michael argues that Lucifer himself helps push humans TO these immoral/evil situations, & is therefore in no position, & is hypocritical.
•Lucifer boasts about the number of souls he has claimed, VS how many God has won over.
•Michael speaking on Lucifers pride, & his flaws causing him to fall to begin with.
• Lucifer claiming that HE will show God that he was wrong choosing humans, & will also make humans pay for their disobedience, & such. While also having a deep desire to “PROVE” that God made a mistake putting man above angels.
•BOTH repeatedly express their deep respect, & love for one another still.
•BOTH try to assert dominance/superiority over each other.. LUCIFER speaks how HE was Gods most favored & perfect creation. Michael speaks how HE was the “good” son to God, being loyal, & being obedient to God. Something Lucifer couldn’t do, showing his weakness.
•BOTH spend multiple letters (responses) speaking about History & Historical events on, “Terra” I believe it’s called?? (The Earth like planet) Michael attempts to highlight humanities GOOD during it… Lucifer attempts to highlight the evil.
In closing… it’s a neat listen! Good job by Adam on voices… a MOOD LISTEN for sure… & *NOT* just for religious folks, this is MUCH *MORE* about the basic straight forward value/worth of HUMANITY vs our evils… as it is about GOD himself, or Religion. Religion is almost a non-factor in it. Humanity being unworthy of Gods love (OR ANY LOVE) being mentioned now & then is about as Religious as it ever gets.
I’m glad I own it. Will be fun to revisit after some time.

PAINFULLY SLOW pace, MOST ends up irrelevant, NEARLY IMPRESSIVE
Revisado: 01-30-22
The theme of this book is my ABSOLUTE ADDICTION!!
****IF YOU DONT CARE TO READ MY RANT.. & JUST WANT MY RATINGS ON ASPECTS OF BOOK… HERES A QUICK 1-10 SCORING (minor spoilers):****
*STORY: 4/10 (could of been fun, but painfully unoriginal, tried to be too smart for its own good. Bored me to DEATH 80% of time)
*Reader: 7/10 (he was fine, a MALE shouldn’t be chosen when the MAIN CHARACTER IS FEMALE LMAO… & his varying voices were very limited)
*Pace: 0.5/10 (slow in a way I can’t even describe. 6+ hrs before ANYTHING happens….jumping from past to present is jarring, & done in a painfully cliche way/method.. by the time the “horror” starts, I was hardly interested anymore. By the time the action started, I had zero interest in the outcome of Combat team or Monster. Incredible disaster. Almost impressive In a way?? 0.5 points for having a start & finish.
*Length: 2/10 (as said too much now… 6 hrs of science talks, which also in the end are irrelevant to the story lol. This is about a 9-10 hour book, that COULDVE been solid if were cut down to 3-5 hours max.)
*Overall: 3.5/10 (Pace, & ZERO tension, fear, anxiety, curiosity for hours on end just isn’t good for an ACTION HORROR book lol. Probably shouldn’t have even had a monster in it… would’ve been better off going w/ a “realistic fiction on dangerous of environmental damage”. Monster almost felt forced in. Tbh… it’s boring lol.
*Monster: 5/10 (it’s fine I guess…? Nothing special. Typical man made abomination ish thing. Shoehorns in giving it a “zombie” making ability… zombies… original. Monster is really just an organism that controls biological life, basically making rage filled zombie things… MEH… I tbh think I missed the part when the monster was “defeated”…? Shows my interest I guess lol.
I LOVE with a PASSION horror/SciFi that are based around people stuck in isolated areas… make that area an inhospitable SNOW WASTELAND!?!? BONUS! Only thing I love as much..? Monsters. You can guess my favorite film (The Thing, 1980s version)
However… I’ve dragged myself through my share of books w/ these awesome plots, & ideas… only to have 50-70% of the book to be SLOW/BORING/ maybe even as far as being FILLER… books 8-12 hours that could’ve upped the pace, suspense, action, horror etc by trimming it down to 3-5 hours…? They’re endless in number.
Look, I’m all for world building, & character development. However, this is just a book about Environmental Horror for God sake. It’s simply “man playing God w/ nature, & nature doesn’t take it well, & fights back”… it’s not something deep lol.
& TBH, I really didn’t care much for or feel any attachment to ANY character. I also didn’t feel I really even got to know most of them even… minus, Cameron, Sammy, & Amy… no one mattered to me or felt unique. I can’t even remember the main characters name right now lol. She ALSO wasn’t very likable. She put her desire for her project above peoples safety, health of local wildlife, or much of anything. Forgettable. Which isn’t saying a lot for the writing given we spent 6 hours on her & coworkers just rambling lol.
What am I getting at…? This. This book is somewhere around, 8 - 9.5 hours I believe?? (Can’t remember) & I remember the time elapsed by the time ANYTHING “horror” related or really to do w/ the books concept happens…? I was shocked to see that OVER 6 HOURS HAD PASSED… yep. First time the *monster* sees any action or page time…? 6+ HOURS in…
So what in Gods name could they fill for so long, in a simple monster novel…? This:
The first 2-4 HOURS is essentially NOTHING except conversations about climate change, & by ridiculous, near nonsensical numbers, charts, & scientific mumbo jumbo, half of which IDEK it was accurate or not…. It’s these LONG (ultimately, frustratingly POINTLESS & IRRELEVANT IN THE TOTAL PICTURE YOU WILL FIND!!!!) talks between people about mass amounts of data, & concepts, & topics, debates, ideas etc, that basically NO ONE without a degree in sciences related to climate change or biology could even hope to follow…
I’m not kidding. I found myself understanding MAYBE… 20-30% of the data or concepts being explained… & other times I frequently found myself being ABSOLUTELY LOST as far as what was being discussed… I would get lost in endless expositions on DATA/IDEAS… the amount of numbers, & equations gone over in this…? I was kind of stunned.
& as far as I could understand… there seemed to be (in present time) SOME sort of generic “combat/military” team being sent in, & just kind of pop in & out for a few minutes every hour or 2. COULDVE made this intense, a skilled team going into a complex having been compromised, & having to find out what happened, only to encounter the monsters eventually… but nooope. Numbers… data.. climate change lectures for 6 hrs. Btw I think the generic combat team just kinda.. vanished..? Unless I missed their fate or something lol.
Example of how POINTLESS most complex exposition really is…? Story kinda (jarringly) shifts between present, & recent (within days/weeks??) time… & upon shifting back to the research team… EVERY…TIME… it gives us the exact coordinates (location) which amounts to 15-20 numbers… WHY…? What’s the point…? Are we supposed to realize where these coordinates are..? Is it done to sound smart…? Why not just say, *DATE, TIME, LOCATION NAME* the strings of numbers meant nothing… & this is essentially in the same family of irrelevance/minutia as the hard to follow masses of data, & overly complicated biological terms, & concepts… meaning, NEITHER achieve anything in the end besides annoy you, & make you think, “haha.. WHAT was the point of ALL that junk for 6 hours…?
Trying to build this around real complex science… only to then have a MINDLESS MONSTER MINDLESSLY KILLING EVERYTHING IN SIGHT, TURNING THE PEOPLE INTO ESSENTIALLY… zombies…? Was kinda funny..
Begin: SMART. End: Mindless, stupid action.
6 hrs: be realistic, & science based, get deep.
Climax: forget all that, HERES A WEB SHOOTING POLAR BEAR THAT CAN CLOAK ITSELF! RAAAWWW!!!! Lol.
It’s in the end … a very simplistic monster running amuck inside an isolated facility.
I felt incredibly annoyed by wading through 6+ hrs of useless junk… which yes… I sadly believe was done for filler. Because without it, it’s simply a dumb (YET FUN!!!!) 2.5 - 3 hr monster romp.
maybe the “science” somehow helped market the book as, “environmental horror/SciFi/Survival/Commentary on Climate issues/SERIOUS grown up smart SciFi… & NOT simply “ISOLATION MONSTER STORY” yet no science fan will enjoy this, it’s not SciFi either, it’s not commentary on ANYTHING a 5th grader doesn’t know climate wise… this was like writing a paper on a pine tree, & somehow coming away w/ 75 pages about the tree, knowing the trees lineage, & why pine trees aren’t PURPLE… (aka: large amounts of IRRELEVANT, USELESS INFO… we don’t need to know why pine trees ARENT purple… & we don’t need to hear a locations 20+ digit long coordinates 30 times during the book.
Sorry, I get that this was angry sounding… however, I’m just so sick of this junk. A book that did MONSTERS + ISOLATION great start to finish!?!? “ORIGIN” by J.A KONRATH. “THE RUINS”, “THE RELIC”… & so on…THIS isn’t it.
If you are totally okay with NOT getting to ANY HORROR… ANY MONSTER moments, or really ANY tension, action for MINIMUM 4+ hours, & nothing special happening for 6+ hours….? Then it’s not too bad.

HORRIBLE!!!
Revisado: 08-22-21
Right off the bat, be aware that I consider myself to be one of the biggest werewolf fans out there. Books, films, audios.. they’re my go to monster!
That said, I gave this a shot. Huge mistake. The writing honest to God really does come across as if it were written by an 8th grader. The women are constantly horny, the men are all described as basically Calvin Klein models… & yeah, the women are SO horny in it, that mom & daughter are literally both trying (while in each others presence…) to hook up w/ the new guy next door that they’ve never met. It was straight from the mind of a 14 yr. old boy that …yeah…
Author has absolutely ZERO ability to write realistic women, older or younger. Every aspect was so bad that I caught myself feeling embarrassed even though I was alone.
To make it short, just imagine a pervy teenage boy, that has never written anything before… & imagine he writes this book. Yes, it’s exactly what you’d expect…
What made this my first audible book that I couldn’t pass the 50% mark..? The narrator… God in Heaven it was cringe. His ability to voice women…? Let’s just say there was zero ability!!! It was so bad that it actually constantly took me out of the story. He came across as very unpolished. I had to stop… ever listen to some of those, “scary story/creepypasta” guys on YouTube that narrate scary stories? Know the ones that just sound akin to that guy you know whose voice just hurts your brain??? Yeah, his voice is very similar.
The entire project … nothing in my 200+ audiobook downloads have felt even CLOSE to this as far as feeling totally armature.
Total mess… most regrettable purchase I’ve made on here ever, & it’s not close. I refuse to believe these 5* reviews of this are honest/real. They either got it for free, or were given some sorta kickback. I’ll watch/listen to ANYTHING werewolf related… & you honestly couldn’t pay me $50 to listen to this book 100% through… take that for what it’s worth….

Historia
In an astonishing feat of empathy and narrative invention, our most ambitious novelist imagines an alternate version of American history. In 1940 Charles A. Lindbergh, heroic aviator and rabid isolationist, is elected president. Shortly thereafter, he negotiates a cordial "understanding" with Adolf Hitler while the new government embarks on a program of folksy anti-Semitism.

EVIL NAZIS…? original…
Revisado: 06-17-21
**BE AWARE** FYI, this is just why I’m SICK TO DEATH of this same, tired idea of Germany as some ultimate super evil…it’s not about the book itself, which is pretty much more of what we have had 100x before… this is my frustration with authors/movie makers going back the SAME tired core theme OVER & OVER (Evil Nazis) focusing on ONE aspect of a WORLD WAR THAT CLAIMED THE LIVES OF OVER 70+ MILLION HUMANS… all of whose lives were equally important!!!
Germany..the forever, eternal “bad guy” among the uneducated, liberals, Communists, public school students, & generally the avg. 15-30 yr old whose knowledge on WWII is basically, “Schindler’s list”…
Yes…Nazi Germany didn’t have a love for Jewish people…I think we get it. It’s all that’s taught in public school, it’s all that Hollywood highlights when it comes to the HORROR of 1939-1945, & it’s all authors seems to want to write about. Regardless of the fact that 50+ MILLION other types of people lost their lives as well.
Japan: Nearly wiped the Korean & Chinese from the face of the planet. Brutally butchered tens of millions of innocent people. As well as being the only AXIS power that openly murdered American POWs. Enslaved China/Korea/Thailand/Philippines/ & more. Brutality wise, they were top of the class among, Germany/USSR/USA/UK/ITALY. Fun fact: they to this day STILL deny MANY of the war crimes they committed. Yet there are no books, movies, TV shows about any of this really.
SOVIET UNION(USSR): Killed more human beings than Germany & Japan combined. Including millions of its own people, & soldiers. Had the NKVD, which was as brutal as Germany’s, Gestapo. Had their own camps for “useless eaters” (as Stalin called them…) called Gulags. During the Katyn Massacre, the USSR murdered 25,000 men/women/kids in 1 day, & buried them in the woods, & simply blamed it on Germany, only admitting fault in the mid 1990s! After Berlin fell, during the “rape of Germany”, Soviet troops raped between 2 & 2.5 MILLION German women, many of which were then murdered. Stalin killed more human beings than Hitler could’ve dreamed off. Oh… & lest not forget, he allied w/ Germany in 1939 to attack, & split Poland….I could go on & on.
USA/UK: Oh… let us not forget, the “good guys” had blood on their hands as well. Many examples, but I’ll give just 1 now… DRESDEN & HAMBURG Germany… in less than 48hrs. The US & UK firebombed (yes fire..) those 2 cities, & literally burned alive between 60,000 - 80,0000 innocent civilians. It would be if an enemy dropped firebombs in the heart of downtown Chicago.
^^ NO ONE was innocent in WW2^^
***THIS IS IN NO WAY A DEFENSE OF NAZI GERMANY, OR AN ATTACK ON THE JEWISH PEOPLE… ITS ABOUT WANTING TO SEE THE FULL STORY TOLD***
The point is, I’m sick of all these tired, rehashed stories about Germany taking over the world, Nazis on the moon, Germany tricking the USA to join them, & together target the Jewish people… as if they’re the ONLY people who suffered during the war…you’d think so, based on looking up, fictional WW2 history, or watching films. If you’re unaware, do yourself a favor… research, “Nazino Island” where Stalin sent his OWN people to literally starve to death, & become cannibals. Or his Gulags, how many tens of MILLIONS died in them. They took 95,000 German POWs after Stalingrad, of those 95,000…. LESS than 4,000 ever returned alive to Germany. Look up the Katyn Massacre…where are those books!? Those movies!? Communism since 1900 has killed over 100,000,000 people. More than any other belief by far.
If you got this far… please think about these things before you decide to support ANOTHER reused (for the 500th time) idea about Germany as the typical go to “bad guy”. It’s not to excuse what they did… but it’s basically like writing 10,000 books on Jack the Ripper, yet there are almost zero on, Bundy/Dhamer/Gacey/H.H Holmes etc etc!
I want more ORIGINAL ideas, & for the love of God… more of the full story!! Kids in Highschool can tell you how many Jews died, but ask them, “what was Hitlers last name?” & they’ll be totally stumped (LMAO)….
If I offended anyone, it wasn’t my intention, but if the truth offends you, then idk what to say. All I’ve mentioned can be verified, I encourage you to research it, & educate yourselves…
