WOW WOW WOW!!!

What a great book to have the pleasure of listening to. As always, Khristine Hvam does an incredible job bringing the characters in the Jane Yellowrock series to life. They just kinda pop off the pages and become real people. I don't like to give explicit details about books because there are enough people out there who do. I will say that I enjoyed thid book more than any other that I have read and though i have given the others a 5star 🌟 rating, I would give this one a TEN star it were allowed. In my humble opinion, it was that awesome! Listen to the series if you haven't already. I believe that you will be so glad that you did! FAITH HUNTER ROCKS!!!

WOW! WHAT A CONCEPT!

This review is my humble opinion of this book. I don't write blow by blow (LOL) accounts of everything that happens, as there are plenty of others who do that. I just tell you if I liked it or not.

I think that this book was great! I fell in love with the antics of Brie, Lea and Mary in the first chapter! What fun and sometimes, laugh out loud, funny! And then we have Sir, Tono, and Marquis, (Master Cohn didn't made my list became Mr. Universe-type muscles aren't for me). GULP!! Anyway, I was SOOOO ENTERTAINED!! I enjoyed following the girls through their training. A couple of phrases stood out for me. There was Brie and her, "I Googled it Sir", and Tono's "Breathe with me", (twin bought me the Breathe with me shirt! Yippieee)!

Pippa Jayne did an awesome job of narrating, and I'll be looking for more of her work. I can't wait to read the next omnibus. I've got it downloaded and just need to hit play!! Re-read #5.

AWESOME BOOK! LOVE THIS SERIES!

I loved everything about Dawn Study except that I thought it was too short! One thousand pages would be to short for me. LOL! I could listen to more books in this series, and hope that there are more. Gabe’s Zackman is an incredible narrator and I have enjoyed many titles on her “playlist”. She and Maria make a great time!

GOOD BUT NOT MY FAVORITE

I love Christine Feehan's books and this happens to be one of my favorite series, however, this one just kind of fell flat for me. I didn't feel the flow I am used to. It was a little repetitive in places. A statement would be made and a couple of paragraphs down, the same thing would be said again, sometimes using the same exact words and sometimes changed up a bit but meaning the same thing.

Now about the narration. First, I need to say that I am a HUGE Tom Stechschulte fan, that being said, I do try to give new to me or new to a series narrators a chance. Though
Mr Frangione does have a pleasant enough voice, I just felt that I was being read to and not being emersed in the story and transported into the
GhostWalker world. I listen with ear buds and all of the voices just sounded alike to me. The pitch in the women's voices, though a touch higher, sounded the same except for
the accents. My biggest issue was
with the voice and Cajun accent of Nonny. Not what I expected. I understand all narrator's have their own way of narrating, but I just wasn't liking the change after so
many books into the series. Mr Frangione had some big shoes to fill
after us having had the pleasure of Mr Stechschulte expertise. I don't know why the change was made, and I hope it wasn't due to illness or worse on Mr Stechschulte's part, and wish someone will let us know why a change was made. If this is a permanent change, I will still listen to future books, but, in my humble opinion, if it could been avoided, a change shouldn't have been made.

GOOSEBUMPS GALORE! AWESOME READ/LISTEN!

I have loved this series from the very beginning. I am also in a state of perpetual goosebumps and chills down my back. Amanda Stevens knows how to deliver chills and thrills, and Khristine Hvam gives it voice(s). Khristine is my favorite female narrator. I discovered her from the Jane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter who actually led me to Amanda Stevens from a recommendation on her website. Great paring for both series with author and narrator. They bring the stories and characters to life. Great job!

FAITH HUNTER CONTINUES TO RAISE THE BAR!

I have been a huge fan since Jane Yellowrock tooled into NOLA on the back of her bastardized Harley, Bitsa, in book one, Skinwalker. I was attracted to the series because I love the Native American People. To have a book in the Urban Fantasy genre centered around a Cherokee woman, and I'm all over it. With each book, I have found the not only has Jane grown as a character, but Faith Hunter has grown as an author. I get so mesmerized by her work, that I may actually wait a few days after the book is out, (though I preorder print, Kindle and Audible just as soon as I learn they are up for order, and would buy hardcover it they were available), because I don't want to be interrupted once I start. I am likely to take someone's head off here at home if i am disturbed, and well they know it! I don't go into a lot of detail about what happens in a book because there are others who write those reviews much better. I just write how much I like or dislike a book, author and or narrator. In this particular book, I love the Faith Hunter and combine that with the fabulous voice talent of Khristine Hvam, who has read the entire series thus far, and is my hope that she will continue to do so, because she is Jane, and Bruiser, and Leo, Eli and Alex and all the rest. She brings Faith's characters right off the page and into my minds eye and world. Khristine can switch back and forth with seamlessness between each character, no matter how many are in a scene. I really don't understand why they both aren't awarded highest honors with each book. For me, it just doesn't get any better the Faith and Khristine. Download/buy, read and enjoy over and over. I do. Again and again.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR FEVERSONG!! JUST 6 MORE DAYS!

This series and the Highlander series have been so exciting to me. Some of the characters I loved right away, but some have taken me a while to fully understand and love...later. I'm not as critical as some reviews I've read. To me, if I get engrossed and can't wait for the next book, I rate accordingly. I only gave this one 4 stars because I really loved hearing Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross in several of the other books in the series. Luke Daniels and Jill Redfield, though good and I love their work individually on other projects, just didn't bring me the same enjoyment that Mr Gigante and Ms Ross did. I already had those voices programmed in my head, but their rating was a SOLID 4! That's not to shabby.

In my reviews I don't give a scene by scene critique. Their are enough of those already. I also don't give spoilers, (I hare when others do that, especially if they don't label it such). Read/listen for yourself. You know what you like and don't like. However, I do hope you enjoy the series as much as I have. Happy reading/listening! 😀
