Historia
Once a united Legion, the disparate splinters of the Emperor’s Children now eke out a violent, hedonistic existence between the stars, raiding and ravaging worlds to indulge their fathomless appetites. Xantine, proud leader of the Adored and a true son of Fulgrim, wants more than simply pillaging backwater worlds. He soon finds what he has been searching for – Serrine, a wealthy but cruel planet festering under misrule and inequality, cut off from the Imperium by warp storms. It is too tantalising a prize to ignore, and Xantine sets out to bring perfection to his new world.

strong characters
Revisado: 06-10-24
This is a great look into the third Legion in modern lore. I think it perfectly represents what the Emperor's Children have turned into. with the strong preference from the VA you really get a feel for the emotions and they bring out the unique characteristics of each. if you are at all interested in the Emperor's Children at all, or just how chaos warbands operate this is a great book for you.

Out of options, Ufthak leads his Waaagh! through the mysterious webway, to a place where kunnin’, sneakin’, and thinkin’ are the name of the game. A place with little truck for muscle and brawn – Commorragh, the Dark City. Here, where kabals and haemonculus covens pump psychic viscera into the warp, Ufthak is thrown into gladiatorial combat and soon finds himself up against an archon who will stop at nothing to prove she deserves to rule the Dark City – even if it means bringing Commorragh down around her.

Revisado: 05-09-24
If you like orks, this is the book for you. Plenty of hilarious moments, a bunch of serious and dramatic moments, and ending that's quite satisfying. It is the third book of the trilogy, but it's written in such a way that you don't need to read the first two. they definitely add the story but it's a nice day it's not a requirement. it spends a bit on the dark eldar, so if you're interested about them this is good look at them. pacing was good, never felt like there was a lonely story or boring part. the VA as always, was spot on and did a great job. overall fantastic book the one will definitely enjoy.

Terra is besieged. The outcome of the war lies on a knife edge. The Warmaster Horus’ bloody seven-year crusade has led to this – the cradle of humanity, where he is to kill his father, the Emperor. With the war at this critical juncture, Sanguinius, primarch of the loyalist Blood Angels, braves the horrors of the Warmaster’s flagship, The Vengeful Spirit, with a single purpose in mind – to slay his brother Horus, decapitate the Heresy once and for all, and stop the forces of Chaos from taking Terra.

Revisado: 05-22-23
To start, the VA did a great job with so many characters. The pacing was good and the action kept coming. It would be easy to get lost with all the names and titles if you aren't familiar with 40K and the knight types. But overall a very good read.

Truly an excellent book. It delves deep into all the characters, and flushes them out very well, by the end of it you're rooting and crying for all of them. The range of voices and performance by the voice actor truly adds another level of depth to the book.
