I do not know what happened but between the last book and this book, the author decided to write mini books . I do not like these ‘cliff notes’ book version. So … weird! He just cut his books in 1/2.

Stop the horrible intimate details …

First, I am not a conservative so my review is not coming from POV. so I love to hear and watch all things about sex. But this is not the writers strength. In fact it sounds like a 16-17 year old version of sex. Skip this stupid detail … it detracts from building better characters. Also, the details of poly relationships is way to early … in a survival setting. Urgh … minus this really bad details the story finishes strong by developing (hopefully) an evil character.. overall writer is weak in building characters. I feel this is more like 3.5 but I rounded up

Good value and almost great story

Hands down a very good value; author was able to tell an interesting story throughout this very, very long story. This is not easy. The major misstep (for me) was another author falling into a trap of telling a story from a view of point that conservatives are the only smart people in the world and liberals are worst thing ever. OMG ! By the way - I am no liberal nor am I defending them. It is just a horrible plot that makes his story feel cheap, shallow, & lack of imagination.
