What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I'm not sure if there is anything that could improve the book. Maybe a better narrator could give it a rating of 3
Has Bonded by Blood turned you off from other books in this genre?
No, I have listened to many books in this genre and enjoyed them very much.
Would you be willing to try another one of Antonia Laury’s performances?
I bought the first two of the Sweet Blood series and I'll listen to them because, what the hay, I did pay for them. I won't be buying anymore books in the series, however. The herroin was just abit too dumb and her counter part was about the same.
What character would you cut from Bonded by Blood?
None. The story needed all it could get.
Any additional comments?
The story was just too hokie for me. Perhaps Laurie London could take some writing tips from JR Ward (Black Dagger Brotherhood)..

good story/poor narration

I did finish listening to the book but it was a struggle. The story is a good addition to the Drake Sisters series. The narrator's style, however, is more suited to childrens books. I hope someone persuads Angela Brazil not to narrate adult books... she ruins even a good story.

The narrator pretty much ruined a mediocre story. There was very little inflection in the narrators voice to either bring out emotions of the characters and there was very little difference between the male/female voices.

Pretty good story

I almost didn't get past the first 1/2 hour on this one because Patrick Lawlor's voice was a bit too grading on my ears and nerves. I'm glad I persisted, however. I did get used to Lawlor's voice but feel the story would have been much better if Angela Dawe was the "only" reader.

This is the first Susan Mallery novel I didn't like; and the narrator made it even worse. The story line was week and the narrator's voice gave all the characters an air of unbelievability. Not worth the credit or cost.

The ending ruined the book

This is the first Fern Michael's book I've read that disappointed me. Even though some parts were a bit drawn out, the overall story had merit... that is, until the end. I left that book feeling like I should never had started it.
