Throughly enjoyed a Bahni Turpin as narrator. Enjoyed the fresh take on superheroes and the wit of the main character. Listening to these again in preparation for the third book and it is still as good as the first time.

The narrator...I can't. I have listened to this series multiple times, but always skip this book. I hate to do it because it is my favorite book of the series. I'm sure Gigi has read other books and has her followers, but her voice for this book is akin to nails on a chalkboard. I have kicked around the idea of narrating this myself book on a voice recorder and listening to it that way.

That said - The Dresden Files: Ghost Story was initially read by John Glover. It was all wrong - so very very wrong to the longtime listeners of that series. I was pleasantly surprised when a few years later it was re-released with James Marsters (the original reader) as the narrator.

HOW CAN WE MAKE THIS HAPPEN FOR THIS BOOK!! Marguerite Gavin needs to narrate this book. I would purchase that version in less than three heartbeats!

Where are the illustrations? PDF attachment?

I love Natalie Dormer and her voice! It's the audio equivalent of warm honey or the perfect hot cocoa. I was a little surprised by the verbal opening description that explains the focus of the book - the magic of Harry Potter has roots in our real world! Is it what I thought it was going to be? No, but it peaked my interest enough that I am going to listen anyway.

My only disappointment is there are many many illustrations DESCRIBED by the speakers. I'm about 90 minutes in and there have been at least a dozen illustrations sited. Why isn't there a PDF attachment for this audiobook? I checked Amazon.com and the book is there - when I clicked 'see inside' there are illustrations. I feel like I HAVE to purchase the kindle version of the book just to see the glorious artwork otherwise I am missing out. I know it can be done as Anna Kendrick's "Scrappy Little Nobody" has a PDF attached that includes some personal photos that she talks about. I can easily access it through my Audible website....

If there is anyway to get this review to the 'higher ups' at the publishing company to see if they would be willing to include the illustrations I would greatly appreciate it.

Love this series!

One day I was looking for something light hearted and not too heavy as far as content. I started with book one - and a few days later had finished the twelfth. I love the characters and watching them grow with the ongoing story is truly a joy. I usually don’t have time to sit and read a book, but I make time to read (as there are upwards of twenty + books so far) as not all of them are available as audiobooks...yet.

Superb!!! Narrator makes great stories exceptional

Would recommend this to anyone who loves a great how-did-they-do-it story. I was lucky enough to pick up this title while on sale. 58 hours??? Never got tired of the stories or narrator.

Harrison does it again!

Kim Harrison has done it again - captured my imagination and all of my spare time. I could listen to this over and over again. Marguerite Gavin is the perfect voice for Rachel Morgan!
