Bounced around the foster care system, he ran away as soon as he could... and took the foster dog with him. As far as he's concerned, only dogs have no ulterior motive, never hold a grudge, and offer unconditional love. Now he helps run a no-kill shelter and leaves relationships where they belong: in the back room.

Can't seem to finish this audiobook...

I've tried twice to get through this audiobook but it's not happening. It wanders horribly, even secondary supporting characters drift off on internal dialogue tangents. Maybe the story picks up later on but I'll never get there because I'm bored to tears. I rate it three stars overall because it's not a horrible story, just boring. The characters seem to have the potential to be interesting but almost 3.5 hours into an 8 hour book I need to feel more than vague disinterest toward them. Hound Dog & Bean might be more enjoyable for other listeners it's just not the book for me.
