I read the hard copy about ten years ago and it totally blew me away. The first time I actually listened to Duma Key I realized what being blown away really meant. The performance by John Slattery could not have been better and when you combine that with such an incredible story you can not go wrong. This novel will touch on every emotion you have and a few you may not have realized you have. THIS IS A MUST READ!

The only thing keeping this book from being a full 5 stars is the fact that it is abridged. Awesome characters great storyline and an absolutely top notch performance by Edward Asner. I will end with saying even though this is an abridged copy it is well worth your time to check out.

This is not a good book or even a very good book. This a great book on every possible level. This is an emotional rollercoaster from the very first chapter to the very last. Nonstop anticipation for what is coming next .It has been quite some time since I have so completely bought into a story hook, line and sinker. By the time you get to the end of this book you're not sure if you're a participant or a spectator. It will be quite some time before I get the story out of my head..... WOW!

We forget those days before cell phones so quickly even though it's not all that long ago when most people had no cell phone or a computer....

Jurassic Park was a great movie, an incredible book and one hell of a story! There are a few main characters that survived the movie but did not to survive the book and vice a versa. I don't want to give anything away so I will stop here except to say, I hate abridged books this unabridged edition of Jurassic Park was long overdue! Michael Crichton may no longer be with us, but his gifts keep giving and this is a very precious gift indeed ......
