Witty and easy to listen to

Great performance with district voices for the two main characters. While the actual plot of some of these are pretty thin/unbelievable, it's hard not to delight in the clever use of language and witty sense of humor.

perfectly narrated

I originally read the ebook of this but when I saw the audiobook was narrated by John De Lancie I decided to check out the audible as well.

Narration is perfect and while the story sometimes gets a bit confused or nonsensical, the plot itself is easy to follow and the book is a joy to listen to. I noticed some parts that are in the novelization were cut out, but this didn't bother me much, as I actually found the pacing in the audiobook more pleasing.

I'd recommend this to fans of the Q character or star trek tng in general.

While this isn't a masterpiece, there's enough tension in the 2nd and 3rd act to keep you entertained. Found the narrator to be very stilted and strange sounding for the first bit but she got better as she went along.

Fun Way to Kill a Couple Hours

Entertaining, great performance from Baldwin, politically heavy handed, but good.

I got this book as a free audible original. Because of this, I didn't read/ listen to the first one. So take this review with a grain of salt.

I found the first chapter very difficult to get through, but I was busy cleaning the house so I left it on. I'm glad I did because from chapter 2 onwards, the book is quite entertaining.

When one of his top clients is kidnapped, Tom Stranger has to rescue him or else face a multi-dimensional war and a mountain of claims paperwork. Luckily, Tom is the James Bond of Interdimensional Insurance. Obsessed with customer satisfaction and professionalism, there's nothing Tom wouldn't do to ensure a five-star review. That includes fist-fighting dolphins and wrestling husky velociraptors.

Aiding him on his mission (sort of? accidentally?) is his hipster intern, Jimmy and badass secretary, Murph (sp?).

Jimmy the intern is a good foil for Tom and together they're a very entertaining duo. Baldwin does great voices for all the characters so you can always tell who is saying what.

Unfortunately, I found the story lacking... something? I couldn't put my finger on what. I won't be rushing out to buy every Tom Stranger book on the market, but if you like multidimensional hijinks, this one is probably worth a listen.
