Just Okay!
Revisado: 10-18-24
I enjoyed all the twists and turns the story took. Freeman for sure writes well and takes you for a ride. Many times I thought I had the killer figured out, but I was wrong. I enjoyed all the characters. I would Stride and his second wife relationship just a little weird and by the end you understand. As for the narrator, it took me a few to get into him reading. The difficulty came when he had to switch voices and the kids ones just sounded whiny.
With all this, Im looking forward to the next book. I want to listen more about Serena and her partner.

My darling son, Sam, is marrying his childhood sweetheart, and I couldn’t be prouder of the man he’s grown into. Walking out on his abusive father all those years ago was the best thing I ever did. And today he stands, tall and handsome, saying "I do" to my dream daughter-in-law. If I hadn’t pushed them together all those years ago, he might never have found a girl as perfect as Lauren. It’s true what they say, mother always knows best.

Overall Good!
Revisado: 10-07-24
After reading the description, I thought I knew where the book was going to go, but I was wrong. Watson takes you on many turns which most aren't correct. I loved the varied characters with varied emotions that were believable. I didn't give it 5 stars because at times I felt the story dragged and Sam's mom what a little stupid. I liked the way it ended which made me listen to the ending again. Also, I loved the narrator Tamsin Kennard. Her voice highlighted all emotions and was nice to listen to.

Yes! Action, Passion, Evil and Good!
Revisado: 10-07-24
I couldn't stop listening and found myself looking forward to hearing what happened next as I paused. The storyline was believable and the characters likable or much hated. I'm a Floridian which enjoyed listening to parts of Florida being brought to life. The narrator Scott Brick read well and grabbed my attention with his voice changes and the emotion he added with each character.

Couldn’t stop listening!
Revisado: 09-02-23
I was looking for something short to listen to while walking around doing my errands and came across this. I have to say, it took me a minute to get into not having a narrator, but once I visualized each person from their voice, the story came alive. Loved all different characters and the sound effects that helped to make it more real. I didn’t care that at some points it might not have fully followed military procedures because I was entertained. Overall, I couldn’t stop listening. Hoping there will be many more.

A good finish to the series!
Revisado: 05-03-22
Overall, I enjoyed this book. The narration was great and made for easy listening. This book had many twists and turns, but wrapped up the series well. Although it didn't have as much action and such as the first two, I found this to be a good slow down to complete the series.

Historia
On a night flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets the stunning and mysterious Lily Kintner. Sharing one too many martinis, the strangers begin to play a game of truth, revealing very intimate details about themselves. Ted talks about his marriage that's going stale and his wife, Miranda, who he's sure is cheating on him. Ted and his wife were a mismatch from the start - he the rich businessman, she the artistic free spirit - a contrast that once inflamed their passion but has now become a cliché.

For Sure Worth a Read!!!
Revisado: 11-20-20
From the first few minutes I was hooked. I loved how the book was broken into parts and each character was slowly introduced so you could be pulled in with each added angle. Loved the characters and how many dimensions each had. As for the main character Lily, I loved her. I know she is a serial killer, but she was smart, had her reasons and a killer people wouldn't suspect.
My only problem with this book was the ending. It was clever, but it just ended with me wanting to know what happened, I know its meant for the listener to make up their own mind, but I just wanted to know.
Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to read/listen to a good thriller.

Overall, Just Okay
Revisado: 11-20-20
Overall this book was just okay for me. I enjoyed the first book in the series much better.
For me this book was all over the place. I didn't enjoy the different narrators. I felt there were too many and it took more for to concentrate and realize who was talking, but also for me, a couple of the voices didn't match how I viewed the character. With that said, I didn't connect as much with the characters and ended up skipping portions of the book.
The storyline was just okay, but I feel like it dragged lots and kept explaining the same things multiple times. Such as how Connor has a phone and knows its bad or how Lily feels as if she should be taking care of her brother. The ending was just blah. I guess I expected more from the kids considering how their mother trained them and more from Gina and how easily she was defeated.

Pulled me in!
Revisado: 11-12-20
Overall, I was pulled in from the beginning. I couldn’t stop listening because of each new turn in the book and the suspense of it all. At first I didn’t enjoy the narrator, but by the second chapter her voice wasn’t an issue. So much so I didn't want to stop listening and finished the book in one sitting.
Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Another Good Book!
Revisado: 04-06-20
I love this series because of its suspense, but also because of Potter narrating. This book was no different. I loved all the characters and the relationships that built throughout the book. Also, the reintroduction to other characters Gardner has written other series for in the past.
I enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to future ones in this or any series.

My Favorite?
Revisado: 11-28-19
I couldn't stop listening to this book. As usual, I enjoyed the narrator so much. I love how he changes his voice and accents flawlessly. Other than the storyline, I think that is why I am continuing the series.
For me, this book might be my favorite in the series so far. I found less babbling, more action and more purpose to everything happening in this book. Also, I enjoyed all the supporting characters and what they added to the story. Lastly, I liked that Court is home and finally trying to figure out what he did that got him a shoot on site order.
Looking forward to the next book in the series.
