Historia
In 2059, two vastly different groups of people portrayed by the compelling trio of Brendan Fraser (Academy Award winner), Luke Kirby (Emmy Award winner), and Vanessa Sears (Dora Award winner) undergo cryonic suspension. While their bodies are frozen, their minds, still active and awake, are uploaded into a massive quantum computer. The first group are all astronauts, about to leave Earth on a one-way interstellar colonization mission. The second group consists of convicted murderers and volunteers who elect to serve their sentences in a virtual-reality prison.

I like sci-fi stories with solid entertainment and escapeism value; I don’t get that here
Revisado: 11-10-23
Potential for a great story here, could do without the authors overt, political leanings shoved in my face while listening to the story. Yeah, I’ll pass on this one.

Historia
A decade ago, Emily Carlino vanished after her car broke down on a California highway. She was presumed to be one of serial killer Ronny Lee Jessup’s victims whose remains were never found. Writer David Thorne still hasn’t recovered from losing the love of his life, or from the guilt of not being there to save her. Then David meets Maddison Sutton, beguiling, playful, and keenly aware of all David has lost. But what really takes his breath away is that everything about Maddison, down to her kisses, is just like Emily.

And enthralling story with many twists and turns
Revisado: 07-26-23
The story really sucked me in and kept me guessing threw out about what was really going on. I really enjoyed it. Didn’t quite hit the landing there at the end though. Not a horrible ending, just wish it was a little better. Enthralling story

Historia
They tried to kill or capture Yozef Kolsko. The possibility that Caedellium could have peaceful years going forward is refuted. The key is bringing down Narthon. But how? Caedellium is too small, despite innovations by Yozef Kolsko (Joseph Colsco) and Mark Kaldwel (Caldwell), humans cast away on the planet Anyar. Allies are needed. Campaigns to be planned. Risks to be taken. For Yozef Kolsko, it means assuming roles he never imagined or believed himself capable. Anyar will never be the same.

An absolute and grossing read!
Revisado: 12-17-22
I tell you, every new entry into the series just sucks you in more and more. I found it impossible to stop listening to this book. The character development, and the progression of the story really draws the reader in. I really appreciate to how we get the perspective of so many of the characters in the various settings and scenes. And that ending was a doozy!

Excellent empirical description of Astral Projection
Revisado: 06-24-18
I really enjoyed listening to the experiences of Robert Monroe and his own personal investigation into astral projection. Hearing it described in such a matter of fact way was extremely refreshing compared to the more theoretical and philosophical descriptions I have heard before of this phenomenon. Since this is something I would like to investigate myself I find this to be an excellent book to start with prior to any experimentation.

Enthralling story
Revisado: 12-29-15
This is a fun hero's tale. The plot and characterization are done very well. The monsters in the story are a bit cardboard, but they serve as a great challenge for the protagonist. You really do root for the hero in the styory.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Terrific story!
Revisado: 01-22-15
I enjoyed this book through and through. The Martian is hard sci-fi at its finest. The protagonist to someone you can truly root for, the characterization is brilliant, and the setting provides a great backdrop with plenty of conflict to keep you engaged in the story. For some, the science in detail may come off as A bit doll or overwhelming. For me however, the science really lent itself to the story and added to it in my opinion. The humor is abundant with plenty of laugh out loud moments. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this book. Highly recommended! Oh, one more thing, the narrator for this audiobook puts on a brilliant performance. Great A+ on the narration.
