Though I didn't connect with much of Michael's personal story, I appreciate the logistical advice he provides toward becoming "the hero of your life," and his performance is engaging as you can tell how enthusiastic he is. In his voice you get the feeling he really wants to help you become empowered, without it feeling over-the-top.

Almost two different books. I enjoyed them both!

Marshall's tales of his early life of family and growing up on the east coast were really engaging, humorous.
Being a huge Laverne & Shirley fan, and liking Happy Days also, it is very cool to hear back story on these shows, as well as others like The Odd Couple.
Eventually his chapters are designated by each different film project of his and he shares the various experiences and growth he gained from each, as well as being forthcoming about challenges, personal and professional, he faced.
At times the audio quality of narration changed, almost sounded like someone younger impersonating Marshall. Some moments he sounds like he is simply recalling a story, which is a treat, and other times you can tell he is reading, which is fine. Overall though, I found this to be a fun and interesting listen and have already recommended to other storytellers, as we can always use more inspiration. I will probably listen to this again.
