Historia
They call me a slut. Maybe I am. Sometimes I do things I despise. Sometimes men take without asking. But I have a musical gift, only a year left of high school, and a plan. With one obstacle. Emeric Marceaux doesn’t just take. He seizes my will power and bangs it like a dark note. When he commands me to play, I want to give him everything. I kneel for his punishments, tremble for his touch, and risk it all for our stolen moments.

Taboo and Fabulous
Revisado: 11-26-20
This was a recommend read from a friend and I’m utterly thankful for it. This is a great book - hot and twisted. I will be purchasing more titles from Ms. Godwin. I most enjoyed the back and forth between the two characters to get an understanding of where they both were and how they complemented each other. The narrators were just perfect.

Historia
When Pope Paul VII dies suddenly, Gabriel Allon is summoned to Rome by the Holy Father’s loyal private secretary, Archbishop Luigi Donati. A billion Catholic faithful have been told that the pope died of a heart attack. Donati, however, has two good reasons to suspect his master was murdered. The Swiss Guard who was standing watch outside the papal apartments the night of the pope’s death is missing. So, too, is the letter the Holy Father was writing during the final hours of his life. A letter that was addressed to Gabriel.

Impressed
Revisado: 08-03-20
This is the first book I’ve read of Daniel Silva. I chose it because it is outside my normal genre and I didn’t read past the first description sentence. This is a very complicated book to listen to simply to remember the foreign names and recall how they related to the plot. The story is worth more than the one audible credit I paid for and will listen to this book again. I enjoyed the rich characters and the narrators soothing deep voice. The plot is excellent and the book left me satisfied and hopeful.

Just outside of Tokyo lies Aokigahara, a vast forest and one of the most beautiful wilderness areas in Japan...and also the most infamous spot to commit suicide in the world. Legend has it that the spirits of those many suicides are still roaming, haunting deep in the ancient woods. When bad weather prevents a group of friends from climbing neighboring Mt. Fuji, they decide to spend the night camping in Aokigahara. But they get more than they bargained for when one of them is found hanged in the morning - and they realize there might be some truth to the legends after all.

Surprise Ending
Revisado: 07-23-20
I did not expect the ending to this book. I think the only reason I liked it was because I couldn’t have guessed and wasn’t expecting it. It was a good purchase, though if I recommended it I would warn that it may be outside your typical taste.

Ok
Revisado: 09-30-19
This was a good story, a bit predictable, but the main character was written to be so self absorbed it made listening to her painful at times. I’m not one to talk to the t.v. or audiobooks, but I found myself with minor outbursts in regards to the selfish stupidity the main character complained about. It was hard to get through and honestly I’m not sure I would do it again. The plot was predictable enough that I may skip having to go through listening to her torture her husband. The narrator was incredible and I will search for other books she’s done.

Unexpected
Revisado: 02-18-19
I found Darcy Coats by accident and loved her writing. I’ll now read or listen to anything she writes. This book is completely unlike any of her others, in my opinion. That is not intended to be a negative comment, but to tell you do not base your interest in her other works off of this book. This story kept me interested and surprised until the very end. Im very pleased by the surprises in this story. I will encourage others to read this and it is one I’ll more than likely come back to for a second read. Very nicely done.

Ok but super odd
Revisado: 11-05-18
The story felt drawn out. It was an odd idea, and didn’t leave me feeling anything but annoyed I wasted the time and money. I would not recommend this book to anyone except those I know who like cheesy occult B movies and enjoy the same type of books. The narrator did a great job with a rather unappealing story.

Historia
In a warren of crumbling buildings and desperate people called the Old City, there stands a hospital with cinderblock walls that echo the screams of the poor souls inside. In the hospital, there is a woman. Her hair, once blond, hangs in tangles down her back. She doesn't remember why she's in such a terrible place. Just a tea party long ago, and long ears, and blood.

Historia
Old ghosts of different kinds come back to haunt Felix, in the fourth gripping Felix Castor novel. Names and faces he thought he'd left behind in Liverpool resurface in London, bringing Castor far more trouble than he'd anticipated. Childhood memories, family traumas, sins old and new, and a council estate that was meant to be a modern utopia until it turned into something like hell...these are just some of the sticks life uses to beat Felix Castor with as things go from bad to worse for London's favourite freelance exorcist.

Change in Performer...
Revisado: 07-25-15
The book was great but I agree would have been a much better listen had they not changed the performer in this book. Some of the language changed as well leaving you trying to guess what they were referring to.
