So Slow

I wanted to like this book, the plot line sounded interesting, but it is the slowest development of the idea possible and the romance weighs it down to a slog. Three books into it and it could be the third chapter.
Definitely not my style. Maybe a teen girl would love this.

This gives a bad name to sci-fi literature

After the first chapter I wanted to stop listening, however in 50 years of reading I have only failed to finish two books and I hoped it would get better. I stuck out the first book even after the alien sex fiends admitted to wanting humans to probe. I did start increasing the speed of the narrator and before the end was listening at 2.5 speed, anything to get it over quicker. I had downloaded the full six book series but after the first book I stopped and deleted the rest. I gave it one star as giving zero is not possible.

I regret spending $2 for this book

The authors could not pass a third grade science test. i had high hopes when i started this and becuase they were on massive sale i bought the first eight books. What a waste of time and money....... If there is a story here its buried in 'battle' sceens written as if they are in WW2 instead of 10000 years in the future. The earth is 'lost' but people like to reference 20th century pop culture? The whole series can be summed up as, Polititions bad, Legion good.
I would groan over and over at the bad science. Later the books become a 'season', as if this wants to be a TV show. In fact i could see hollywood doing this as anyone who knows anything about science is not allowed to work in hollywood.
In one scene (in a later book) typical of the whole series the artifical gravity is lost and they are in freefall. Then the deck tilts and the people 'slide' toward the wall......in freefall! Arg!
Spaceships 'bank' as if they are in an atmosphere. Arg!
They whole fleet near the end of the 8th book is destroyed by a heat ray.....in space! Holy crap,
Thinly veiled rasist and sexist characters pretending to be the good guys,

Typical hollywood crap

It would take longer to detail all the errors with this story than it took to listen to it. Laws of physics?Who needs them, it would only distract from the story.....anything can happen like magic regardless of how inpluasible.
A multi-story building is collasped with a hammer and a vial of acid,
They smash a steel cell door hinge with a handy rock (strong rock) but only break one Hinge to open the door? How would that work in reality?
if you can pass a third grade science test you are banned from hollywood?
A math equation to predict to the second what will happen? Wow.i guess if you know absolutly nothing about math you might believe that.

Not my cup of tea

I did not realize that this book was military sci-fi I had hoped for more of a police procedural. Military sci-fi bores me. It is all the same nonsense and leaves out most real science that (for some reason) I think should be in sci-fi.

Slow and as straight forward

I bought this as it looked like a stand alone novel. There is nothing telling you that this book just cuts off in the middle of TBE story. Not that the story goes anywhere. The plot was obvious for chapter 2. Quite disappointing not to finish but that appears to be the way of most current writing, more interested in money than a good story.
The narrator speaks so slowly that I had to set the speed up to 1.25 just to be able to listen. I guess just a way to make the book appear longer.

Don't bother

This story goes 90% of the way to the end and stops. Who likes to hear the end of a story anyway. All the great classics just cut off at the end....

Goddess good Priests bad

Bad romance or bad fantasy I can't tell which. Cougar sabotaged the young queen who is in love with someone else anyway. No one noticed or suspected anything. Love triangles abound. Arthur and Lancelot (An excellent porn name) are gay lovers? The Queen spends the entire book trying to decide if she's bad or not.

There is nothing to recommend in this book. A depressing juvenile suicide fest. Any interesting idea was treated like the plague.
