This is the best book of the series (so far). I am speechless. The story is not only well written but it is thought provoking. Kendra is a wonderful storyteller.

My new favorite author. I have read all of his books in order and they are all great. This one was my favorite. The ending was unique. Well done. Easily a five star read.

Each book is better than the last

This series just gets better and better. The narrator is perfect. He never misses a beat. The author and narrator suck you in from the first word. Before I knew it, the book was over and I was listening to it again. The book is action packed. I also laughed out loud multiple times. The cast of characters in the series will keep you on your toes, have you belly laughing and have you on the edge of your seat. I have been following Caleb since he was a little boy with “fuzzy hair” and I will continue to follow him as long as this author keeps the books coming. This is easily a five star audiobook. You will not be able to listen to this book just once.

Brilliant story dreadful Narrator

I enjoyed reading the book. The audiobook was dreadful. The narrator ruined the book. I could not make it through the entire audiobook. Suggestion? Do the audiobook over with a different narrator and your reviews will be perfect.

The Narration

The story is great. The narrator made me DNF the audiobook and just read the book in my kindle. The Jackson voice she was doing kept making me laugh. It was a cross between Elmer Fudd and the Cookie Monster. Hard pass for me. Skip the audiobook and just read this one.

Better than the last book

This book was better than Shadow Prey. We get to see that Lucas can be faithful to a woman. We see that Jennifer finally got a backbone and left Lucas. The ending of this book was a well executed shock. I think I will try to read the next one. Great narration and excellent writing. Five stars!

Hate Lucas Davenport

This is the first time I have read a series and absolutely hated the main character. I can barely finish this book because Lucas Davenport has no redeeming qualities. The narrator did an amazing job and I wonder how he stayed awake during this performance. I give this story one star. It’s abysmal.

Honest Review?

I have to give an honest review. This book was all over the place. The narrator did an amazing job but I found myself asking how she stayed awake while working on this project? The story was long, drawn out, disjointed and the ending did not come fast enough. I had to drink a pot of coffee to stay awake and finish this book. I now understand why people DNF books. Thank goodness this book was free.

Happy Tears

This novel was powerful. I was rooting for this family and I wept happy tears at the end. Well written, this story will linger in your spirit long after you read it.
