Definitely not a stand alone story. Too many broken story lines, by the time i would catch the story would be deep into another unnecessarily detailed ...everything. Just don't have the time or patience.

narrator put me to sleep. Ruined a good story. previous narrator for Demon Chronicles was the best. Kat was portrayed as an interesting fiery go-getter. In this book, she was unemotional, boring, a good narrator can make any book great.

I bought this book because I like a lot of Jana DeLeons book. Decent story, good plot, slow slow. Not sure if it was the narrrator or the writing, but at chapter 15, couldn't take it any more (get to the point!) and jumped to Chapter 27, listened for a few minutes and found out all I needed to know. Not for me.

the possibility of this being a kick ass story and a whole series, but the author keeps getting stuck in unnecessary details, wanders off the story line and forgets to move on with the story. couldn't finish it. if this is a person talking to me, i would have walked away while they were still talking.

absolutely awful. ridiculously childish.

this book is not for me. if the author is truly 12 yrs old, I apologize. it has the opportunity to be a good story but the writing is incredibly childish and I simply couldn't struggle through it , I gave up after 14 chapters. note to author..domestic abuse, striking a loved one in order to force them to do what You want, in any public forum, is not acceptable and hopefully when you grow up you will know this.
