I haven’t read an SEP for many years....but with all the quarantine and all- I gave it a shot! Absolutely loved it! I spend a lot of my coronavirus time listening to Audibles in the pool...jumping around and free dancing and exercising...and it really seemed appropriate to engage with this book:)

Great look at a new character’s story.... Once he was forced to leave his home, I was completely hooked! Love the ending and can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Oh NO! Is it Over???

I absolutely loved this book. I loved everything about it. The experience of being in a wildfire, the building of Bodhi and Breeze’s relationship. Narration was great, I kept savoring this book since I knew it would be over too quickly. I hope these characters start interacting with those of the CAKE series...I think they have a lot in common. I can’t imagine this story is over...there is so much to harvest in the future. Thank you J. Bengtsson for another terrific Audible!

A great set up for the next arc!

Destiny’s Crucible is not finished yet! This transitional book leaves clues for the direction of the next arc! I was so happy to learn that Yozef’s saga is long from over!

A Great Series. A Great Ending

I don’t know what took me so long! I read Into the Wilderness when it was first released- but never continued the series. I recently started over on Audible and I have gone from book to book to book! It is so well written and so well developed and what a wonderful way to end it all in The Endless Forest.
As a huge Outlander fan...I find many authors fall short in their character development and descriptive prose. Sara Donati continuously improved from book to book.

Emma- The Cake Series

I love this series of books. They rise above normal romance with their use of modern language and the traumatic vulnerability of coping with a nightmare scenario and trying to rise above it. This family has a story to tell, uncomfortable and tearful as it is. Each book is like peeling an onion- more layers being revealed- tearfully. I love the consistency of narration in this series. I can’t wait for the next book!

The Theory of Second Best...

I loved the way this book continued the saga and helped fill in some details from CAKE. In terms of modern romance...I find this series to be very enjoyable, especially in Audible! I was so happy to see the growth of some of the side characters and get to see some interaction with Jake and Casey. I loved to watch the love story of Kyle and Kenzie develop and flourish in the realm of reality tv.
What I really enjoy about this saga is the way the main characters start moving on with their lives after suffering thru such horrible trauma. It really moves the bar up in terms of developing full characters instead of just romantic icons.
Can't wait for Book 3!

THIS was a series!!!

A friend mentioned the Clifton Chronicles to me several months ago. I downloaded the first audio book but didn't start listening until about 3 weeks ago. After 90 or so hours I managed to listen to the entire series!!! A lot of walking, driving, working out and late nights with my headphones on! I will miss all of these characters and the excellent narration! What an incredible series of books! I am so happy I could move seamlessly from the beginning to the end!
