Historia
It was supposed to be a relaxing vacation in sweet, sunny Cape Cod—just me and my beloved brother—but discovering a corpse in our rental house really throws a wrench into our tanning schedule. Now a rude, crude bounty hunter has arrived on the back of his motorcycle to catch the killer and refuses to believe I can be helpful, despite countless hours of true crime podcast listening. Not to mention a fulfilling teaching career of wrangling second graders.

Jarring
Revisado: 08-30-24
I couldn’t listen to this book. I would have returned it if i could. It may be great but the difference between the two points of view with the two narrators was too jarring for me. Her point of view is light and cozy and his feels like a different book. It was very crass. For me if I’m in the mood for light and cozy I really don’t want the other and vice versa. I will not finish.

I love this series. I don't usually read romance novels but the world is so rich that I can't stop listening. I want to know what is going to happen to the world and all these great characters. I loved the first book in the series but when I finished this one I thought the plots were going to get repetitive. So I almost didn't keep listening after this book. However, I loved the third book in the series and the complexity of the world is just getting introduced In visions of heat. If you are like me and not usually a romance reader but liked the first one keep going!

I love these characters and I love Amanda Ronconi. I wanted more. It is not a complete story. I am really hoping the next book will be a Gigi story.

Cure for insomnia
Revisado: 02-15-14
I was really looking forward to this book but perhaps I am not the right audience. I have been listening to audio books for 20 years or more and I can't remember a book that put me to sleep as reliably as this one. I will not comment on the book as a whole because I am not sure I heard it all. The best thing I can say about A History of the World in 6 Glasses is I kept turning on the book. It could not have been all bad.

Gradually, Sookie is drawn into the plot - which is much more complicated than she knows.

I read the reviews and I bought the book anyway. I know its hard, but my advice is don't bother. Save the credit and remember the series well.

Better than the Hero of Ages
Revisado: 06-23-12
This book made me like the ending of the original 3 better. I like the idea of this world and I like the author's style. Michael Kramer is great I just wish he had done all Brandon Sanderson's books. It is an easy listen and I highly recommend it if you liked the first 3 mistborn books. You would probably be better off listening to the beginning of the series first. This books stands alone pretty well but there is so much detail in the first three about the world that might make this book a richer experience.

Historia
The beloved New York Times best seller from acclaimed author Eleanor Brown about three sisters who love each other, but just don't happen to like each other very much. Three sisters have returned to their childhood home, reuniting the eccentric Andreas family. Here, books are a passion (there is no problem a library card can't solve) and TV is something other people watch. Their father - a professor of Shakespeare who speaks almost exclusively in verse - named them after the Bard's heroines. It's a lot to live up to.

So So
Revisado: 06-23-12
My issue with this book was that I didn't like any of the characters, which is a problem for a character/ family dynamic driven book. I just honestly didn't care what happened to the characters. I expected something a little more quirky and a little less whinny.

Great book
Revisado: 06-23-12
First let me say I am biased because I really like Brandon Sanderson's books and have read/listened to them all. What I really liked about this one was that it is self contained fantasy novel and it was interesting and fast moving from the very beginning. I liked the characters and the story.
