great book. but not worth the purchase!!!
Revisado: 04-07-25
I love Brian Tracy stuff.....it helped me get through college, and writing down my goals...and working off a yearly list/ weekly list/ and daily list ( which is what works for me) has gotten me my dream job that I built myself. Eat that frog/ goals/ The psychology of achievement can really change your life if you adopt and do the stuff. He's very practical....with practical skills to try and maje your own. so yes this is a great book!
buuuuuuut.....
I know Brian is old now and had issues with throat cancer so his son is reading his books. That's all fine and good....but I just CANT LISTEN TO BRIAN TRACY STUFF IF HE ISNT READING IT. YOU CAN TELL HE REALLY BELIEVES THIS STUFF OR HEY REALLY GOOD AT SELLJNG IT. His son sounds like he giving a book report put load about the goals book and is just reading it off the page and looking down. and honestly with all the fake AI Brian Tracy voice channels who even know if this is his son.
Lastly there really isn't anything new except more bulk and "dead wood" "helping others acheive their goals" ( new chspter) is great and i do help friends with their goals but isn't really high on my list with me achieving mine....right now.
I'd pass on it...and just read the original along with EAT THAT FROG and THE PSYCHOLOGY OF ACHIEVEMENT AND NO EXCUSES. That's all you really need because as much as I love Brian but he is the cut and paste king.....and pretty much all his other books rehash the same 15 ideas he's been giving since the ideas. still a fan....lots of his Audiobooks are free on internet now anyways.
Hope that helps.

Brian Tracy is the best!!!
Revisado: 05-13-24
The best thing about brian tracy although I know he is the cut and paste king and repeates the same 15 ideas in almost every book....they are very important ideas and need to be heard over and over again. The best thing is he is a great gatherer of alot of the best ideas and puts them all in one book. As I read newer material backed by newer data I always shake my head and say " oh Brian Tracy was right! he was talking about this stuff 20 years ago" Brian Tracy will always be the best because his information is stuff you can use that day....Tony Robbins and alike are more fluffy. and the newer people just seem to just Yell their speeches telling you you need to be a beast etc,....just not the same. Brian Tracy and Earl Nightingale will always be the best in my book because their stuff was practical and easy to act on.

Very important book!!!
Revisado: 05-10-23
This is a very important book. Its famous for being the book that makes makes all the other books you read work. Was so glad to see it finally offered on Audible. The reviews will be bad because the narrator isn't good sounds like he's about to fall asleep and is kinda dull. You actually get used to him....this book is so important I would discount the narrator and focus on the material. Its worth it!

Historia
Our brains do their best to help us out, but every so often they can be real assholes - having meltdowns, getting addicted to things, or shutting down completely at the worst possible moments. Your brain knows it's not good to do these things, but it can't help it sometimes - especially if it's obsessing about trauma it can't overcome. That's where this life-changing book comes in. With humor, patience, science, and lots of good-ole swearing, Dr. Faith explains what's going on in your skull, and talks you through the process of retraining your brain to respond appropriately....

The narration wasn't good. But info was great.
Revisado: 03-14-22
Alot of people will say the Audio wasn't good...sure.....but the info was really good and i quite enjoyed her jokes, and quirky sense of humor and verbiage. Made me feel like my friend was who us a therapist was talking to me about handling issues...and not a white jacket wearing Dr...who is just treating me like their 11:30-12:30 appointment and waiting for their next one.
To the people who had major issues with her language and humor.... then why did you pick up a book that had f*ck in the title? Go read another Deepak Chopra book or the power of now or something. Grow up.

Thought it was gonna be touchy feely
Revisado: 03-01-22
I thought it was gonna be about depression journals and touchy feely...although a short book...it did have great info and suggestions....and her writing style made me feel really comfortable like a friend who us really smart is talking to me about deppression and possible solutions. Great book...because she talks in an every day way swearing and all....it made believe in trying out the suggestions even more as if a friend was helping me then if I heard the same thing from an author who seemed far away from the subject and you are being treated by a professional who can't relate and you are a patient and they are just doling out a cookie cutter prescription to. I appreciated that most from the book.

The "isle of poets and scholars" has known almost constant warfare for centuries. In 1920, it was divided into North and South; yet this purely political solution left a religious and cultural schism intact. This presentation follows Ireland's tragic course from St. Patrick to Britain's imposition of direct rule in 1974.

great
Revisado: 09-23-21
I would have liked more in depth stuff on the other philosophies besides Kaizen......Kaizen was great....but more on the other 3....seems like ikigai and kaizen were most dominant....and other 2 got sped thru...but maybe there wasn't much to say. just found all 4 and the implementation of all 4 in ones life fascinating. the conclusion was really good.
