Mixed feelings beware spoilers

Let me start by saying I read the description. I knew what I agreed to listen to. But, as an American where the age of consent in most states is 18. (Ik the book is set it Canada and their age of consent is 17 I believe.) This really bothered me. It’s really well written and I hate to say it but it feels a bit like grooming. Her was writing her over a 9 year time span. And while she was very mature for her age you could tell he sort of stopped treating her like a child when she was about 10. The letters were fairly innocent not sexual or anything. But he had a great bit of influence over the person she became. And venting to a 10 year old about your terrible EX and how she was treating the kids is a bit weird. Her, I could understand falling for him, he saved her life at the risk of his own. Him? No sir, adults are supposed to have restraint. I think I could have forgiven it if they were contactless through out her childhood and met when she was like 20 at least. (Cuz I don’t mind a 20 year age gap but I do mind if its a child) All in all I don’t hate the book I only got so far in before I returned it. For all I know he keeps sex out of it til she’s older idk. But yeah the fact that she was 17 and influenced so heavily by him is what’s bothering me the most.

Tempest…

This author and both narrators were new to me. I didn’t know what to expect. Honestly they almost lost me about 3 hours from the end. Tempest was starting to make some questionable decisions and I don’t like stupidly reckless heroines. Or Heros for that matter. But I prevailed and kept going and it all worked out. It was a good story, the twist was nice only a little predictable but I read too many of these to be that surprised by anything anymore. If you have this in your wishlist but not sure if you want it due to a lack of reviews, I’d say go for it. Toxic love is worth your credit.

Tortured Anti-Hero😍

Cassiopeia was the Sun but Nikolai was a rock. I don’t really have much else to say. I loved the interconnectedness. This was a story I didn’t know I needed. I was anticipating Maxim’s story but had no idea I needed Niko’s. Thank you for this Serena.

Okay so…

This was a good listen for the most part. It was too short yet too long. The whole story happens over the course of a few days. Literally about 3 or 4 days. This is a 7 hour book. How did you drag out a few days worth of events over this many hours. It felt like this is book one of a duet because toward the end it got kinda rushed and there were some details left out. Like what happened at the gala that made everyone think she was insane? They also never admitted their feelings for one another. Overall it was a good listen just not well paced.

Omg everything about this book was amazing. The performance by all four narrators, the story, the sex scenes, The conflict, resolution, and climax. EVERYTHING. If you are thinking about getting it just stop and buy it. So worth the credit.

This story is so complex it’s hard to keep up but not impossible. I’ve only read Filthy and Filthy Sex before this but now I need to go back and get the rest of the five points books. I knew Connor and Star were going to do me in. I love them as a couple so much. I would be mad about the cliffhanger if I didn’t already know there was another book. I’ll be throwing myself into that one next, I can’t wait! 😝

The book is not bad. The story is ok and I would’ve liked to finish it. The problem is Dom Johnson sounds like an old man in his 70’s with dentures and jowls. His character is sweet, caring and dominant but when he opens his mouth all that goes out the window. He’s awful and I don’t understand how anyone with working ears could approve this. I’m going to return this and probably buy the kindle book to get the rest of the story. On the other hand she was pretty good I wish she would’ve narrated the whole thing.

Just not for me…

First I want to start off bu saying the description is misleading. I thought Gavriil was going to be relentlessly and intentionally trying knock up Hannah and making it well known. Or that he was going to proposition her to have his baby and the romance would follow. Or something like that but four hours in all I’ve gotten is needless public displays of gang style violence, boring and quick to the point sex with no seduction or foreplay just insert penis here type of sex scenes, more public violence, dumb ideas to take out their enemy, constant reminders that Gavriil doesn’t need any distractions while his mother tries to set him up, a random betrayal, and the lost goes on. Needless to say I’m not a fan. I wish I could return this. The narrators weren’t the worst but they were not good fit for the characters. And yeah the not having a Russian accent thing ended up being a bigger deal breaker than In thought.

They almost lost me

There was so much sex and not enough story for so long I almost gave up. The spicy scenes were great but not enough to hold my attention for too much longer. If it weren’t for Elana Wolfe/ Andi Arndt and Tor Tom I would have stopped much sooner and boy I’m glad I didn’t. Once the actual story part of this book started I was hooked. There were parts left out that I kinda wish wasn’t skipped over but not enough to make me feel lost. Overall great book and I really want Lorenzos story next even though I know it’s book 3 idc I wanna listen to it next.

This was the best book I’ve listened to/ read in a long time. I loved Irish. He’s a beautiful soul that must be protected at all cost. And Ellie was amazing, a mature woman that has every right to not put up with the BS. I loved that she communicated with Irish when we reached the climax. It was beautiful and made my heart happy.
