Historia
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Catch a tiger by its toe. It's seared into Atlee Pine's memory: the kidnapper's chilling rhyme as he chose between six-year-old Atlee and her twin sister, Mercy. Mercy was taken. Atlee was spared. She never saw Mercy again. Three decades after that terrifying night, Atlee Pine works for the FBI. She's the lone agent assigned to the Shattered Rock, Arizona resident agency, which is responsible for protecting the Grand Canyon. So when one of the Grand Canyon's mules is found stabbed to death at the bottom of the canyon - and its rider missing - Pine is called in to investigate.

Stretches the bounds of...well everything.

This must be the reality of that woman getting elected as president, that’s the only way I could make the plot work. Other than that it’s up there with Harry Potter. Should be in the fantasy section. Sucked me into buying it, though I won’t make that error again.

Historia
The only sign of life for miles is an empty BMW. Inside the expensive car he finds clothes that fit perfectly, shoes for his tattered feet, a Rolex, and an auto registration in the name of Daniel Hayes, resident of Malibu, California. None of it is familiar. How did he get here? Who is he? Who was he? While he searches for answers, the world searches for him - beginning with the cops that kick in the door of his dingy motel with guns drawn. Lost and alone, the man who might be Daniel Hayes flees into the night. All he remembers is a woman’s face, so he sets off for the only place he might find her.

Historia
A group of some of the most powerful people in the government, the military, and the private sector has begun a brutal plan to quietly take over the reins of the US government. They've begun to remove the people who stand in their way - and replace them with their own sympathizers and puppets. They've already taken out the Speaker of the House - whose death was made to look like an accidental drowning - and the president and vice president are next.

Good Story Line
Revisado: 07-15-17
I liked the plot and time was taken to make the characters seem realistic.
The attack on the VP's plane...I don't know that much about missiles but I don't think they would have to hit head on to stop one.
If the interceptor got close and exploded would that not disable the other missile?
Anyway other than some stuff like that it was all good.

Ok, good one, but Bear can take the Big Bad Silent deal to far. And Vic's "WTF"s get a little old, still good fun.

Suspend All Common Sense
Revisado: 10-27-15
What would have made White Plague better?
Better and more believable plot, to much useless detail, I kelp thinking get on with it already, and way to much rhetoric about climate change and the ice melting when the opposite is true.
Would you ever listen to anything by James Abel again?
Don't think so, way to far left for me to handle.
Would you be willing to try another one of Ray Porter’s performances?
Don't think I could listen to another hour much less an entire book.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Anger that I wasted my money, if he wants to push his ideology that's fine, free speech and all that. Now that I know his views of the world and mine can't get along I'll pass on his books.
Any additional comments?
The left wants to blame America for everything bad and if someone does something good then find fault with it, for example the bad men in the army and a private drug company caused the plague, then the guy who did it worked for years to find a cure because he felt guilty, good right? no he locked it up and did not share even though at that time there was no plague to cure. So years later there's an outbreak of the plague, someone at the drug company discoveries there's a cure and the story is written to make this guy the villain. So he kills his self, the Hero that caused him to kill his self is miserable, the family's are miserable and everybody's un-happy, typical left leaning ending.
