Historia
We tend to think of Advent as the season of anticipation before Christmas—and while it is that, it's also much more. Throughout its history, the church has observed Advent as a preparation not only for the first coming of Christ in his incarnation but also for his second coming at the last day. It's also about a third coming: the coming of Christ to meet us in our present moment, to make us holy by his Word and Sacrament. Priest and writer Tish Harrison Warren explores all three of these "comings" of Christ and invites us into a deeper experience of the first season of the Christian year.

The call to patience was really helpful
Revisado: 12-05-23
An interweaving of history, exegesis, and personal narrative. I learned a great deal and found nails both inspired and encouraged. A beautiful book inside and out.

Historia
All My Knotted-Up Life is a beautifully crafted portrait of resilience and survival, a poignant reminder of God’s enduring faithfulness, and proof positive that if we ever truly took the time to hear people’s full stories . . . we’d all walk around slack-jawed.

I am undone
Revisado: 06-26-23
I laughed out loud, wept, slammed my steering wheel in agreement, and was led to prayer and worship when it was over. This is a heavy book and not to be entered into lightly, but for those who choose to do so, it is profoundly rewarding.
