The amazing depth and riches of God’s love
Revisado: 02-24-25
I have listened to many books revealing through the quotation of scriptures the love of God for all people who have ever existed. The scriptures show clearly that God will eventually reconcile all people to Himself and to one another either in this life or in the age or ages to come. Leaving and Finding Jesus takes a different approach with a similar conclusion. The author calls it a relational approach. He is not against scripture and does bring up many in a more story telling manner. I found it refreshing and encouraging. Bottom line, if you have the burning question in your heart, What is God like, this would be a very good book for you to read or listen to. My hope for you would be that your heart would continue to burn, not with a question but with the burning fire of love because God is love.

Historia
In Beauty Will Save the World, Brian Zahnd presents the argument that this loss of beauty as a principal value has been disastrous for Western culture, and especially for the church. The full message of the beauty of the Gospel has been replaced by our desires to satisfy our material needs, to empirically prove our faith, and to establish political power in our world - the exact same things that Christ was tempted with and rejected in the wilderness.

Historia
Intellectual certainty has long been a cornerstone of the Christian faith. But in an age of secularism, skepticism, and cynicism, our worldviews have been shaken. Various solutions exist - some double down on certainty, while others deconstruct their faith until there is nothing left at all. But Brian Zahnd offers a third way: What is needed is not a demolition, but instead a renovation of faith. Written with personal and pastoral experience, Zahnd extends an invitation to move beyond the crisis of faith toward the journey of reconstruction.

This is the second book I have listened to authored by Brian Zahnd. Both of them have pulled at my heart to know Jesus better and walk closer to Him. Thank you Brian for your time and honesty. The call from Jesus through you is both exciting and scary.

Historia
Everything about the gospel message leads to the cross, and proceeds from the cross. In fact, within the narrative of Scripture, the crucifixion of Jesus is literally the crux of the story—the axis upon which the biblical story turns. But it would be a mistake to think we could sum up the significance of the crucifixion in a tidy sentence or two. That kind of thinking only insulates us from the magnificence of what God has done. In our ongoing quest to make meaning of the cross, we need to recognize that this conversation will never conclude-that there is always something more to be said.

Historia
What happens to us after we die? For the first 500 years after Christ, most Christians believed that God would ultimately redeem all of his creation. Hell was real, but it didn't last forever. Its purpose was to restore, not just to punish. Then beliefs changed. For the past 1,500 years we’ve been told that most of the billions of people who have lived on this earth will remain separated from the love and mercy of God for all eternity.

Heaven’s Doors is one of the books on the top of my list of books covering the subject of the ultimate reconciliation of all people to God and each other and the restoration of all things so God will be All in All. The powerful and never ending love of God for all people is the theme of this book. I wish everyone would read it or listen to it at least twice. George Sarris is one of my favorite readers of audible books. He has a calming clear voice that is a pleasure to listen to.

Will the love of God save us all? In this audiobook Thomas Talbott seeks to expose the extent to which the Western theological tradition has managed to twist the New Testament message of love, forgiveness, and hope into a message of fear and guilt.

Refreshing!
Revisado: 05-04-24
Seeing God as supreme love that will eventually, in the age to come, bring all people that ever existed on this earth to a place of reconciliation with Himself as well as with each other is so refreshing after being taught and believing for so many years that a very large majority of people would be cast into everlasting torment or possibly annihilated. If you believe, as I did, that that the bible clearly teaches that most people who ever existed will experience never ending torment or annihilation, this book is a must read or listen to for you. We have been duped. Thomas Talbot has written about the true “old time religion” dating back to the beginning of the body of believers in Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God who said, “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.”

Historia
Grace is amazing. About this all Christians agree. Yet nearly all forms of Christianity put significant limits on grace. In Grace Saves All, David Artman argues that grace saves alone and goes to all. This inclusive approach to Christianity is variously called universal reconciliation, universal salvation, or perhaps most accurately, Christian universalism. He contends that the inclusive/Christian universalist approach is necessary because it offers the only Christian theology that successfully defends the goodness of God.

The goodness and love of God for everyone.
Revisado: 04-08-24
A new and fresh look at the Bible and what it actually says about God’s mercy, judgement and plan for this earth and all who have ever lived. Hope For All is a must read for everyone no matter what faith they adhere to or none. The biblical evidence in this book for a God who is the father of all, loves all and whose plan from the beginning is to save all is overwhelming. Not only will it cause you to see God in a different light but all people as well. Gerry Beauchemin has done a superb job in writing Hope For All. It is a work of love.
