Historia
A lifelong pursuit of knowing God should embody the Christian's existence. According to eminent theologian J.I. Packer, however, Christians have become enchanted by modern skepticism and have joined the "gigantic conspiracy of misdirection" by failing to put first things first. Knowing God aims to redirect our attention to the simple, deep truth that to know God is to love His Word.

Liked the movie better, not gonna read the sequels
Revisado: 04-07-22
Some good parts, but honestly I can see why they changed it so much for the movie. The book was, in short, unsatisfying. Started reading with the intention to read the trilogy, but decided it's not worth it to continue struggling with this author.

Snooze
Revisado: 04-19-20
Not a riveting narrative. Performance like an overly starched dress shirt: stiff, formal, and highly uncomfortable. Looking for answers? This entire book contained extreme repetition and inference, only to end with a big ol' "We don't know!"

Historia
Dr. Jonathan Weber, Harvard professor and biblical scholar, is looking forward to his sabbatical year on an archaeological dig in Israel. But a spectacular find that seems to be an archaeologist's dream-come-true becomes a nightmare that could be the death rattle of Christianity. Meanwhile, Weber's strong interest in Shannon Jennings, daughter of the dig's director, is an exhilarating complication.

Very well researched & understandable

I was so impressed with how the various scientific concepts were explained in such a way as to drive the story forward rather than bog it down.

okay I just finish this book. it was a very good read and I learned a lot. I'm going to read it again now. I'm going to read it a few times, because I'm interested in making these Concepts work. they really make sense. Perhaps it can get me out of some trouble I've created for myself by not understanding how other people, and myself, work
