Diana es mi héroe
Revisado: 10-06-21
Una historia increíble...que mujer más valiente. Me hizo muy triste su historia, pero Diana honró al amor de su vida con todo lo que hizo para resolver su caso.

Meh
Revisado: 09-02-21
This short story kept my attention for a while, but as others have mentioned, the ending makes this story just not worth it. It's not exciting, and it's actually a little disturbing. Fine for listening if you need something to entertain you and it's free. Otherwise, don't waste your time.

Historia
How did a libertine who lacks even the most basic knowledge of the Christian faith win 81 percent of the white evangelical vote in 2016? And why have white evangelicals become a presidential reprobate's staunchest supporters? Jesus and John Wayne is a sweeping account of the last 75 years of white evangelicalism, showing how American evangelicals have worked for decades to replace the Jesus of the Gospels with an idol of rugged masculinity and Christian nationalism.

Love the book, not the performance
Revisado: 02-02-21
This book is, hands down, one of the most important books I have read in my life. I am a pastor's wife and also deeply involved at one of the megachurches mentioned within these pages. All of this material was somehow deeply shocking and also entirely expected, as I saw so many similar things first hand. This book is required reading for all evangelicals and for anyone who would like to see a different reality than the one that is sadly and truthfully portrayed in this book.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Hated the ending (and parts of the middle too)
Revisado: 12-24-20
Slow, slow start. I think I had to restart this book 5 times to get into it. Then it was great for a while learning about Kya. I did not like the rest- especially the ending. I'm so disappointed since this book got such rave reviews.

Good but short
Revisado: 09-15-19
Good but short. I would have loved for there to be a little bit more development of the plot
, but as it was free, I am thankful for a good story at any length.

Slow start, but soon fell in love with this story
Revisado: 08-04-19
As I saw in other reviews, this book took me a bit to get fully into it. That was only a brief issue and I ended up devouring the book in 2 days. There were moments so painful that I literally winced as I got through them and moments so happy that I nearly cried. These two intertwined stories take you on a rollercoaster of emotions and touches on some of the most vulnerable experiences a child can have. I was only disappointed that the story ended when it did. It made sense, but I was eager to follow the two protagonists further along in their journeys.
