Historia
The last thing Gwen Cooper wanted was another cat. She already had two, not to mention a phenomenally underpaying job and a recently broken heart. Then Gwen’s veterinarian called with a story about a three-week-old eyeless kitten who’d been abandoned. It was love at first sight.

I’m not a cat person but loved every minute
Revisado: 11-08-22
It surprised me how much I loved this story. I guess I’m an animal person when I would have described myself as a dog person. Homer seems more like a dog than what I’d believe a cat to be. The different personalities of the cats was also fascinating! Well done!!

The reader was not the best
Revisado: 01-23-22
Unfortunately the readers bland monotonous voice ruined the book for me and I had to stop half way through. It was good to put one to sleep!

Excellent story
Revisado: 01-02-21
I know that one narrator is the norm but wished you had a woman’s voice for the female characters as Michael Beck’s voice was distracting as a woman! Scratchy and uneven. Otherwise a great story!

Historia
Does your dog love you? Every dog lover knows the feeling. The nuzzle of a dog’s nose, the warmth of them lying at our feet, even their whining when they want to get up on the bed. It really seems like our dogs love us, too. But for years, scientists have resisted that conclusion, warning against anthropomorphizing our pets. Enter Clive Wynne, a pioneering canine behaviorist whose research is helping to usher in a new era: one in which love, not intelligence or submissiveness, is at the heart of the human-canine relationship.

Proof of what all dog lovers always knew
Revisado: 04-09-20
A very interesting yet painful story of what our relationships with our dogs is or could be. Really sad about kennels, pounds, and indiscriminate breeding. But still a moving story about research projects to prove what we knew about our dogs - they do love us!

Historia
It's 1949. When war veteran Aloysius Archer is released from Carderock Prison, he is sent to Poca City on parole with a short list of dos and a much longer list of don'ts: do report regularly to his parole officer, don't go to bars, certainly don't drink alcohol, do get a job - and don't ever associate with loose women. The small town quickly proves more complicated and dangerous than Archer's years serving in the war or his time in jail.

Historia
When an unidentified, seemingly healthy young woman collapses suddenly on the New York City subway and dies upon reaching the hospital, her case is an eerie reminder for veteran medical examiner Jack Stapleton of the 1918 flu pandemic. Fearful of a repeat on the 100th anniversary of the nightmarish contagion, Jack autopsies the woman within hours of her demise and discovers some striking anomalies: first, that she has had a heart transplant, and second, that, against all odds, her DNA matches that of the transplanted heart.

Good thrills and chills but narrator was NOT good. His ?British?? accent was so terrible I flinched every time he used it. Also the assassin could have had a name, not be called the British Assassin all through the story. Good ending
