I think I have every story EJ Noyes has written. This last book in the trilogy was as great as the first two. I appreciate how EJ has never repeated her storylines, so every book is fresh and exciting. And the injection of humor judiciously sprinkled throughout, lightens the tension at just the right moments. The writing itself is crisp, wonderfully paced with hot, romantic scenes appearing organically as part of the developing relationship between the two women. Having a male best friend who is not acting as comic relief, is a breath of fresh air. All in all, I highly recommend the entire three book series. You will be entertained while enjoying some really good writing. What more could you ask for?
And the audiobook versions live up to the quality that the writing demands.

This was so bad on every level. Was the sing songy narration AI? The story itself was immature and insipid . There was no reason for the one character to fall in love with the main character who was wishy washy, narcissistic and inane. Waste of time to listen to, though I did have a few laughs at how bad it was.

E.J. Noyes is fast becoming one of my new favorite authors. This is the second book I have read from her and it is outstanding. She has mastered the art of 'showing' us her characters, not just 'telling' us about them. The characters here are fully formed and the story line moves along in a measured, logical way. E.J. also is a master as some amazingly hot love scenes. I hear they can be difficult to write, but she makes them real and real to the characters progression.
The combat scene was intense, to say the least. It had me on the edge of my seat the entire time, and it felt authentic while moving at the perfect pace.
Abby Craden has done a good job with the narration. I wish some of the mouth clicks could be edited out, but the energy of her presentation and getting us to feel we were in the main character's head with all her emotions and inner thoughts, as well as portraying other characters, was superb.
Overall, I'd highly recommend this title. I will be purchasing the sequel to this, "Ask Me Again" tonight. Can't wait!

This is absolutely the best memoir I have ever listened to of what it is like to experience the adventure called the Pacific Crest Trail. The writing is stellar. To be able to entertain a listener for all the 2660 miles it took Carrot Quinn to hike the entire length of this trail that stretches from The Mexican border to the Canadian border is stunning. Her verbal portraits of the terrain she sees and the journey that also takes place in her soul kept me enchanted for days. I listened to the wonderful narration of Erin Spencer over the course of several months, as I promised myself I could not listen to this inspirational story until I had accomplished other chores. It was a useful tool, as I could not wait to get back to the story.
The story is so mesmerizing, I plan on going back and purchasing the print book so I can add it to my collection of stories to be enjoyed again and again. Erin Spencer was the perfect voice to bring this story of adventure, struggle, and survival to the audio world. Her style perfectly matched the writing 'voice' of Ms. Quinn.
And the production values were superb. No variation of sound levels, and clear enunciation without the annoying sharp S sounds that sometimes plague other female narrators. The understated delivery, again, perfectly captured the writing style of the story.
I can not recommend this audiobook enough. The story was poetic, magical and it's delivery was outstanding. Carrot may not re-hike the PCT, but I will definitely be re-listening to her journey. There is so much here to re-visit. Thank you to Carrot, her family on the trail, and to Erin for making the beginning of this winter of 2017-18 much more tolerable. May your next journeys be as life changing as this one was. And with plenty of food available, whenever you want it. :-)

This is my first foray into the world of Gothic Romance, and I greatly enjoyed the story. The characters were interesting and the intrigue between them kept my interest. I found myself happily anticipating each chapter.
The narrator gave distinctive voice to the different characters so that I always knew who was speaking, but there were some technical issues, such as the volume fluctuating too much throughout the book, that at times, took me out of the story.
But with winter coming on, and days to be spent indoors, this is an enjoyable way to spend those hours ahead.

Would you consider the audio edition of Boundaries: A Lesbian Romance to be better than the print version?

Did not read the print version.

What does Jan Cramer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It took awhile for these American ears to get used to the British accent, but after just a few minutes of listening, everything was fine. There were a couple short sections where the sound levels changed, but not a big problem.

Any additional comments?

I just wish the story had continued a bit longer, to share the experience of Elizabeth and Jan finally getting together, since we had shared all their other, more challenging experiences that had kept them apart.
