I wanted to love this book

I love the Mercy Thompson series and wanted to love this book but it took me months to finish because there were too many changes in POV and jumping around in the story made it difficult to follow at times and frustrating at others. This switch in writing style was confusing. Even minor characters had their own POVs which seemed unnecessary and took away from the main story.
This felt like a filler book and had a lackluster ending. I am hoping the next one is better because these are characters I have grown attached to and want to see what happens now that one crucial thing has been resolved.

This was a great first book in a series, it has Marys, Gods, paras and some pretty good twists. Hailey is great at world building without sacrificing the store and developing lovable characters. I cannot wait for the next book.

I love this series

I normally read the books but picked up the audibles version so I could listen while working. I enjoyed the story immensely but the narration was just blah. The Clay in my head sounds nothing like the voice the narrator used. Thank goodness that the story made up for it. I think I am sticking with reading this series for now on.

For a lot of series I tend to lose interest by the 8th book because they feel like a retelling of the same story but Faith Hunter never disappoints, there are enough twists and call backs that each book though a continuation still feels fresh. She is a master at pacing and not adding a lot of fluff. I can’t wait to start the next book!

This was so good and I need another!!! Old friends rally when new foes threaten Hadley assertion to POA. This book has action, humor and snarky charm. A must listen if you have done the POA series. Now I want more Hadley and Midas!

Causing her to help in a situation that may just get her killed trying to right a wrong. Two men who seem to need Erin for different reasons and want her add emotional drama she doesn’t need because she know neither can truly be trusted right? Now that certain people know the truth about Erin how will that impact those around her and the supernatural community and will she live to find out? We have to wait for the next book to see.
I need book three now! So good and hats off to Khristine Hvam for her superb narration, I get lost in her voice and the way she evokes emotion and depth into each character.

Omg I can’t wait to listen to book two

I have been a fan of McKenzie Hunter for a while now so when I heard she had a new series and Khristine Vham was going to narrate I squealed in delight.
The story is original and the world building is done in a way that makes the first book exciting while still giving you the information you need. I enjoy the characters and the depth she has given them already and cannot wait to see what happens next.
