Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

Great continuation of a great series
Revisado: 09-13-24
I was a little skeptical going into this one just because the last book was sort of a natural end point for the series, if the author wanted to end it, and sometimes things continue because the audience wants it not because the author has anything interesting or worthwhile to say. Early on the book gave of some unfocused vibes so I was worried, but in short order it becomes obvious there is still plenty of interesting things for him to say and adventures for the bobs to go on. soft spoilers this book doesn't really end on an ending so my assumption is there will be more bobiverse in our future and I am excited for it. as long as the author feels he has something to say with this book series I'm down for more, I also don't want them to force themselves to write it if they don't.
The Narrator gives an amazing performance as always with this series he really does an amazing job bringing bob and the characters to life. and amazingly is able to infuse some uniqueness to many of the different bobs which is not easy considering how many there are and how they are all different versions of the same person. but the other characters as well sound great.
Very happy with this new entry into bobiverse and ready for more.

Great series. Great addition.
Revisado: 07-12-24
love this book series. occasionally the writer has a bad habit of repeating himself especially with character names. but outside of that very minor criticism this story is fantastic high fantasy. I really loved the stuff with the beastmen tribes in particular all that is really cool. finally seeing lark struggle against an opponent was really great too. can't wait for the next one.

The Cool Side of My Pillow is a collection of essays. Don’t let that fancy word fool you. I’m not trying to get highbrow or rant myself blue, but there are experiences and observations outside of the entertainment industry that I feel are worth sharing. What’s it about? Mostly, things that matter to me, like putting in the effort, being honest, and not treating the environment like it’s the enemy.

Love Bruce. Liked the book
Revisado: 01-31-22
it's a good read and Bruce is enthusiastic throughout. it's a perfect example of why I prefer the author reads when listening to biographies and the like. there are times however I must say he gets into "old man yells at cloud" territory. not entirely but he dances around the edges of it and it gets a little unfunny for about 5-10 minutes but aside from a few instances of that it's a great listen and loved almost all of it.

oh my god why?
Revisado: 06-30-21
Seriously, I never thought i'd be bored listening to danger room training but this book accomplished it. after the dryest and longest opening that devotes a ridiculous amount of time to explaining how Shi-ar research projects receive funding (not kidding). they finally get to the x-men and spend ages describing every detail to the point where I had to turn it off while storm was falling out of the air because it was just so dull. granted it's not really the fault of the performer the book sucks but they don't sound interested even a little, not that I blame them. but yeah the characters voices are not good. overall the book is like listening to paint dry. seriously who buys an x-men book and goes "I can't wait to hear all about the political machinations of science grants for the shi-arr!"

Good fun, minor complaints
Revisado: 03-11-20
I really enjoyed this book. It's a fun take on RPG systems come to life. like an MMO slice of life story done really well. the author doesn't take it too seriously so there isn't any "actually this is terrifying." edgelord takes on it which I like. I enjoy the world building but I could do without some of the religious debates the characters engage in, some of it feels extraneous and can bog it down. At least for me. I'm also really unhappy with the ending. It ends so abruptly it's practically mid-sentence. I was enjoying the story so much that I was unhappy it ended at all but it really does feel jarring. I hope the author continues in another book. i'm very interested to see where it goes from here.

amazing book, amazing story, ok narration
Revisado: 08-21-15
I really love this book and the two chapters Arnold narrates are great to listen to. I just wish Arnold read the whole think the guy has an amazing style of speaking and you can tell he writes the same way I feel we may be missing some of the inflection his words would get coming from the man himself. but overall it's a great book and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Let's be honest - nobody has more fun than atheists. Don’t believe it? Well, consider this: For nonbelievers, every day you’re alive is a day to celebrate! And no one celebrates life to the fullest like Penn Jillette - the larger, louder half of legendary magic duo Penn & Teller - whose spectacularly witty and sharply observant essays in Every Day Is an Atheist Holiday! will entertain zealots and skeptics alike.

Good book, little scattered but overall enjoyable
Revisado: 12-24-12
This is another great bunch of musings by penn jillete about life, religion and events that shaped him as a person. the stories within are of a much more personal nature than his previous book god no, and while i think i enjoyed god no a little better this is definitly a great read by any definition and listening to penn read it gives it a whole other level of intimacy. highly recomended
