Historia
The story of how The Godfather was made is as dramatic, operatic, and entertaining as the film itself. Over the years, many versions of various aspects of the movie’s fiery creation have been told - sometimes conflicting, but always compelling. Mark Seal sifts through the evidence, has extensive new conversations with director Francis Ford Coppola and several heretofore silent sources, and complements them with colorful interviews with key players including actors Al Pacino, James Caan, Talia Shire, and others.

If you're a filmmaker like me, you need to listen or read this.

I enjoyed this from beginning to end. I'm an independent filmmaker and I recognized and experienced, on a far far smaller level of course, the struggle and hardship experienced during the Film Production process. This book brought back some, not so fond memories of my last production. But as I finish that film, I hope against hope for even the slightest degree of success that The Godfather had and still has. And as I begin my next film, I hope to utilize the lessons learned from my last production in order to avoid the same horrible experiences. This book is both entertaining, informative, and hope inspiring. I highly recommend it!👍🎞️🎥🎬

SAVE THE CAREER
Revisado: 08-23-22
This is by far one of the best Screenwriting books I've ever read. I also love listening to it. It's not only informative and entertaining, but listening to the book helps get me in the writing mood which helps get my booty in the office chair and working. I'm looking forward to reading/listening to all of the others. I just wish Blake was still alive so I could thank him. 😕

I didn't get it.

I thought the story would eventually go somewhere but hours into it I was still waiting. It ended up being a book about a job. I must have missed the point of it all. The performer did great but I hated the sound effects.
