Historia
The murder of Abraham Lincoln set off the greatest manhunt in American history. From April 14 to April 26, 1865, the assassin, John Wilkes Booth, led Union cavalry and detectives on a wild 12-day chase through the streets of Washington, DC, across the swamps of Maryland, and into the forests of Virginia while the nation, still reeling from the just-ended Civil War, watched in horror and sadness.

Not my favorite
Revisado: 09-17-18
Liane Moriarty is a gifted writer, but this wasn't one of my favorites. However, it was still a good read. The middle dragged just a bit, but I'm glad I stayed around for the end!

Ok but nothing special
Revisado: 03-04-16
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
The story was interesting, but I hated the modern story-line and the gratuitous profanity.
Would you be willing to try another book from Nora Roberts? Why or why not?
Possibly. I'm interested in what happens to the characters but I don't want to listen to the narrator butcher the women's voices and inflections.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of MacLeod Andrews?
He did an awful job on the woman's voices. He was fine with the male voice.
Could you see The Last Boyfriend being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I don't really care at this point.

Disappointing
Revisado: 01-06-16
Would you try another book from M. C. Beaton and/or Graeme Malcolm?
Yes! The narration was great-the story wasn't.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
I love the character of Hamish, but the author has apparently decided to leave him in limbo. Nothing changes for Hamish. He cannot find love, his station is always at risk of being closed, and his bosses are awful. I would like some sort of resolution rather than a watered down-reheated character.
What about Graeme Malcolm’s performance did you like?
He did a great job with the variety of voices.
Any additional comments?
