Historia
Sami Kierce, a young college grad backpacking in Spain with friends, wakes up one morning, covered in blood. There’s a knife in his hand. Beside him, the body of his girlfriend. Anna. Dead. He doesn’t know what happened. His screams drown out his thoughts—and then he runs. Twenty-two years later, Kierce, now a private investigator, is a new father who’s working off his debts by doing low level surveillance jobs and teaching wannabe sleuths at a night school in New York City. One evening, he recognizes a familiar face at the back of the classroom. Anna.

Wow! Harlan Coben does it again!
Revisado: 04-06-25
I have always been a huge fan of Mr. Coben's works... I love Myron & Win and most of the stand-alones, but this may be his best work yet!
What a great story - great narration - did not want it to end!

CHARACTERS!
Revisado: 03-13-25
All of these books are solid, good reads. Love to learn about Wales and Welsh pronunciations -though there are many references to pop culture across the pond. I wish Gil was a friend of mine, because nearly everything he says makes me laugh out loud. I am pretty picky - and I give all of the books in this series a solid two thumbs up!

Historia
A body so badly burned that it could be mistaken for a movie prop...except for the smell. That's not something the LAPD finds lying on the street every day. And when Detective Tully Jarsdel is called to the scene, it's clear to him that something about the placement of the corpse is intentional, even ritualistic. Jarsdel's former career in academia seems to finally be coming in handy, rather than serving merely as material for jokes from his partner, Morales. But nothing Jarsdel learned in school can prepare him for the deep evil behind this case.

Wow - not just this title by this author
Revisado: 06-12-24
These Tully books are absolutely brilliant- I am a book snob and don't want anything to do with romance or other trite BS - I mostly listen to British detective novels because of the way the stories & characters are developed, etc. These are absolutely worth your time and the price of the listen/book. Absolutely recommend!

Historia
Lambert Ramkin aka Imperium Dart, techno trickster and ambient music wizard of the 1990s, has gone walkabout, disappearing from his rather palatial home in Kent. This isn't the first time he's pulled a vanishing act, but he's never been gone so long before and his wife — wives, actually; it's complicated — are worried and hire the Vinyl Detective to find the old rascal. They theorize that wherever the missing man is, he won't be able to resist turning up at a record fair somewhere in search of 12-inch white label acid house singles, which he collects compulsively.

THE VINYL DETECTIVE
Revisado: 05-03-24
Please take my advice and read all of these wonderful books. The narrator is perfect and "gets" the humor the author is trying to convey. The vocabulary, the plots, the characters, the humor - all very much worthwhile. I am a snob when it comes to the books I read and/or listen to and I was very happy to find this author with these great characters and stories - I hope he gives us more very soon! Highly recommend!

Historia
Walt thinks he might find the answers he's looking for among the ruins of an old Native American boarding school—an institution designed to strip Native children of their heritage. He has been haunted by the image of the Fort Pratt Industrial Indian Training School ever since he first saw a faded postcard picturing a hundred boys in uniform, in front of a large, ominous building—a postcard that was given to him by Jimmy Lane, the father of Jeanie One Moon.

Must read for all Longmire fans, but also a must read period. Craig Johnson - you are a fantastic writer... thanks for sharing your gift with us.

Don't listen to negative reviews!
Revisado: 08-26-22
Finished it in two days - great story... a bit like catching up on the lives of old friends. Loved the background of the tumultuous relationship between Chris & Terry - though the ending made me cry. I thought it was a fantastic book - lots of little details that fleshed out all of the characters - makes you feel as though you are sitting at the breakfast table with them. I'll greatly miss reading about the Decker's and their entire brood. Raised a Catholic, I have learned a lot about the Jewish faith over the years.
Faye Kellerman - kudos to you! Please tell your husband he can't stop writing Alex Delaware & Milo books though - can't do without BOTH of you!

One of them has to go, and when one of them does, in spectacularly gruesome fashion, DCI Peter Pascoe is called in to investigate -- with Dalziel and Charlotte providing unwelcome support.
