William Warrick, Beth, those precocious children, Ross, the Hawk. And of course, the illustrious QC, Miles Faulkner, and Christina Faulkner. It’s intriguing the way Jeffrey Archer weaves the story each time in a way that keeps me hanging on till the end!

They say it takes a village to raise a child, but can Mma. Ramotswe and the rest of the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency come together to raise a pipsqueak pachyderm? We may find out in this novel. We may not. Who can say?

Still a good story, just need narration adjustment
Revisado: 07-12-21
I have to agree with the other reviewer‘s about the narrator. I didn’t understand the screechy voices of the characters not only because it was so different from what I’m used to but also because so many of them sound alike.
Interesting thing: there is mention of an elephant sanctuary and an American who cofounded it…That’s my next-door neighbor!

Historia
Britt-Marie can't stand mess. She eats dinner at precisely the right time and starts her day at six in the morning because only lunatics wake up later than that. And she is not passive-aggressive. Not in the least. It's just that sometimes people interpret her helpful suggestions as criticisms, which is certainly not her intention. But at 63, Britt-Marie has had enough. She finally walks out on her loveless 40-year marriage and finds a job in the only place she can: Borg, a small, derelict town devastated by the financial crisis.

Jeffrey Archer delivers again
Revisado: 01-11-17
As many people say, if a book is well written, you begin to believe that the the characters are real, that they are your friends, that they exist. That is how I would describe the characters in this and all of the books in the Clifton Chronicles. I am sad that the story is over and I think Mr. Archer ended this family saga in a most appropriate manner. A definite read but I suggest you start at the beginning and go through each one in succession. Definitely worth it.
