I enjoyed the different characters being read by different performers. I've listened to hundreds of audible books and this one was fantastic. Great storyline and was able to listen to it all in one continous stream.

Misogynistic personalities of every male character?

A few technical errors when writing about autopsy details. Feels like author should have done more research on it. Also a few characters that lacked purpose in the story like Randy and Kent. Not enough character development of Nicole and her best friends. Lacked depth in relationships with characters like Nicole's parents and Megan's mom. No reason to add character's that represent conflict if the reader doesn't have a grasp of why. Same thing with Megan's mom and dad. Is this because author is male and can't describe maternal side? Overall just felt like true female thoughts and actions did not match up with biological age of characters. Maybe if the characters were in college and not high school 🤔. Focused too much on the complications of teenage social behavior and not enough on the reasoning for the perpetrators developing motive for the acts. In criminality, motive is a important aspect of the crime. Left me with more confusion than intrigue. I would ask the author to eliminate characters that have nothing to do with the meat of the story. Too much extra fluff without purpose. All the extra friends, the moms and wives who seem to be to blame yet no clarity of why, when, how that came into fruition. I hope that helps. I'm a very big true crime and mystery reader and I had to rewind back quite a few times to get back on track with the actual story. I've been reading for 42 years and I don't usually get lost in a book that I have to reread it. The ebb and flow is decent in the main story but the detours did not add any "on the edge" or "biting my nails" suspense for me. I was able to know the conclusion long before I made it to the end and that felt like the climax plateued somewhere before the middle of the book, a complete letdown for me. All in all I liked where you were heading just was hoping you would keep your character's quality over quantity.

Read it and then had to hear it in his voice. Really helped me get through the hard part of depression I've been living with most of my life. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a fresh insight into how to deal with pain.

Was so amazed that the author had Asperger's. My don't has Asperger's and I really enjoyed this literary piece. it provides me hope to know that Mrs. Hoang is able to see the perspective of not only her side as a atypical but also she displayed wonderful imagery of neurotypical characters and how they react to those on the spectrum. Fascinating.
