Historia
In the present day, as the man-made apocalypse unfolds, three strangers navigate the chaos. Lila, a doctor and an expectant mother, is so shattered by the spread of violence and infection that she continues to plan for her child’s arrival even as society dissolves around her. Kittridge, known to the world as "Last Stand in Denver", has been forced to flee his stronghold and is now on the road, dodging the infected, armed but alone and well aware that a tank of gas will get him only so far. April is a teenager fighting to guide her little brother safely through a landscape of death.

Just as good as the first time
Revisado: 04-05-19
I’m not a professional book critic but when this book(s) was recommended by a friend I was reluctant. It was a vampire book with a girl that’s all I heard. I’m thinking “Great, someone else is cashing in on the Twilight tide”. How wrong I was. After listening to Scott Brick deliver what I think is his best narration ever I’m eager to start and conclude this amazing story. Thank you Justin Cronin

Historia
“It happened fast. Thirty-two minutes for one world to die, another to be born". An epic and gripping tale of catastrophe and survival, The Passage is the story of Amy - abandoned by her mother at the age of six, pursued, and then imprisoned by the shadowy figures behind a government experiment of apocalyptic proportions. But Special Agent Brad Wolgast, the lawman sent to track her down, is disarmed by the curiously quiet girl and risks everything to save her. As the experiment goes nightmarishly wrong, Wolgast secures her escape - but he can’t stop society’s collapse.

You want a new and refreshing twist on a end of the world “OMG HERE COME THE MONSTERS!!” Book? Look no farther. Can’t tell you about the last book I got excited about. Wanting to get back in my car for my 40 minute commute. Just to hear what was going to happen next to these very real and plausible characters. This book is fantastic and I’m jumping into Book 2 ASAP!

Historia
Zack Lightman has never much cared for reality. He vastly prefers the countless science-fiction movies, books, and videogames he's spent his life consuming. And too often, he catches himself wishing that some fantastic, impossible, world-altering event could arrive to whisk him off on a grand spacefaring adventure.

Beam me up Scotty
Revisado: 02-20-18
This book has it all. My only fear was at the end when I thought it was going to end in some sort of sci-fi cliche, but I was happily wrong. Wheaton is a great story teller with depth and ability of character projection and Cline is one of my favorite story writers.

Story lines within stories with no real closer
Revisado: 04-14-17
I really enjoyed "Reliquary", It was a strong story from beginning to end. This story gave me the feeling I was listening to a drunk at the bar trying to tell me why his sister, brother's cousin were going on vacation but left the kids behind in the car with the plane tickets. Who cares about Capt Custer, what's your problem with the NYPD? Why the filler it could have been a great story

Historia
In Alberta, Canada, at the foot of Dead Horse Mountain, a space capsule is discovered - a capsule that shouldn't exist. Thirty years earlier, Dr. Jan Lee, American entrepreneur and space tourist, purportedly destroyed this craft when he blew up the International Space Station in an act of unexplained sabotage. That event has since inspired conspiracy theories ranging from espionage to alien invasion.

Nice premise of a story but with no depth and really dissatisfied with the ending.
