I loved the chapter when she met Maxmillion. It was an epic love story..I also liked Eve's delivery, her honesty and how much she's evolved as a human being. This was a masterful music memoir.

Introspective memoir by an extrovert.

It was interesting listening to this book after the Oscar slap. I felt myself wanting to go back in time to warn Will. I know life has to happen though. This book exceeded my expectations. It was superb and no one else could've narrated this book but Will Smith. He really took us on a journey up that mountain to see the triumph and loneliness of the top. I highly recommend this book. I was inspired, fully immersed and emotionally invested.

Immersive and vivid storytelling

Dave's life story was such a life enhancing story to me. I finished this after Taylor transitioned so I dedicate this to him.

I walked while listening to this audiobook and it felt like such a symbiotic experience. Dave really created an audio verse that was seamless with my world and imagination.

I felt like I relived some moments because Dave Grohl is only 4 years older than me so I remember the day Kurt left us. Kurt was the poet of pain and Dave is the poet of joy.

He told a hopeful story of a kid dreaming of being a rock star. That day came and he embraced it with nothing but gratitude.

At his level it amazes me that he's still in awe of his heroes. I wonder if he realizes he's a hero himself to many. I give this book a standing ovation. I didn't want it to end.

Heartbreaking, Inspiring and triumphant!

My God. What a powerful memoir. It's a story that I immersed myself in and experienced. Your warm vocals echoed throughout my place like a the friendliest conversation. The family, the honor, the history, the politics, the loyalty, the romance, the adventure, the heartbreak, the scandal and your peace.. I was right there with you through it all. Thank you sharing your story. Thank you Huma.

A treasure chest of wisdom

First I want to say I appreciate this book as a man. It's filled with knowledge that I needed my entire life. Growing up I didn't have the proper tools or the best examples of manhood so I did the best that I could. This book felt like an interactive experience that had me walking in the author's shoes. It was relatable and useful. The overall theme that I loved from this book was being a man of accountability. A man of honor. Those are major ingredients that are needed for our recipe. I felt like a victor and not a victim after reading this. The narrator did an excellent job clearly articulating the author's vision. In all S.D. gave us brothers an amazing roadmap to navigate in this journey that we call life. Here's a salute to you as I continue my drive into the beautiful unknown.

I loved these essays. It changed the way I view everything. I almost didn't want it to end but I know I have to move on and read other books. Brianna Wiest is my favorite writer and this a listening experience that elevated my life. Thank you.

Beautifully rich story

Lenny's story had me so engrossed that I couldn't stop listening. To hear every experience of his journey that added to creating the superstar that we all know was inspiring. I couldn't see anyone else narrating either.. My favorite book of 2020.
