A modern hockey captain and book nerd love story
Revisado: 11-05-24
I had a smile on my face the whole time I listened to Henry and Halle’s story. I’ve never written a review before, but had to write one before even finishing the epilogue! Of the 3 books in this series, this one was my favorite. I loved revisiting the previous characters and seeing how their relationships intertwined and changed over time. This is the best representation of a neurodivergent person I’ve ever read or listened to. There was so much to relate to and such empathy and growth, for the characters and the readers, in the telling of the story. I loved it sooo much!!!! I don’t want to say goodbye to these characters, but they will live in my heart always.

Historia
Anna Fox lives alone - a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times...and spying on her neighbors. Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, mother, their teenaged son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn't, her world begins to crumble. And its shocking secrets are laid bare.

Great listen
Revisado: 02-07-18
I really enjoyed this book. While I figured out some of it pretty early on, I was delightfully surprised by the unfolding of the story. A must for lovers of Hitchcock and old black and white movies which are referenced ALOT. (A bit much for me, started to take away a little from the story.)

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Slow to build up steam
Revisado: 01-13-18
Rosario Dawson did a great job with her narration. The tone and tempo of her voice were great.
I had a hard time getting into this book. I was halfway into it, debating a return when I finally got into the story. I'm glad I finished it, but not one of my favorites. Whenever a dangerous scene came up, I though she can't die, there are 3 hours left... Not sure what all the raving reviews were about.

Historia
Every family has its problems. But even among the most troubled, the Plumb family stands out as spectacularly dysfunctional. Years of simmering tensions finally reach a breaking point on an unseasonably cold afternoon in New York City as Melody, Beatrice, and Jack Plumb gather to confront their charismatic and reckless older brother, Leo, freshly released from rehab. Months earlier, an inebriated Leo got behind the wheel of a car with a 19-year-old waitress as his passenger.

A great listen
Revisado: 06-14-16
I really enjoyed listening to the story of the Plumb family and their woes. It was a complicated story with a lot of characters, but I was able to follow all the story lines without any trouble. I was sad for it to end, I wanted to hear more about this dysfunctional family!
Definitely recommend!
