a rare thing to come across something this original in this category. in addition, the writing is excellent and the narrator fits the characters well. Speaking of the characters, the are 3 dimensional, with all the positives and negatives that bring them to life. This book by far, exceeded my expectations.

I don't know why there are bad reviews. it is not boring, it's got more than just action. Characters are three dimensional and become more fleshed out as the story progresses. the writing and narration are top notch, especially compared to much of the cookie cutter unoriginal stuff. it's well worth the read if you enjoy action AND good writing. I was worried in spots it might get preachy, but the author ended up just telling the story. We definitely need more of that, thank you.

original work painted with a very light litrpg brush. progression without the levels. Holds it's own next to "dungeon crawler carl". Writing is excellent with a mature use of f-bombs, Where the frequency is high, it is justified by the character or intensity. some sexual tension building, but not gratuitous scenes. written for adults. narration is great for all male characters. the male narrator's female voices are a little weird, but then again I don't think I could pull it off any better. brutal content, but also humorous. goes in waves like a rollercoaster. well worth your time and highly recommended.

excellent storytelling, excellent narration

there is enough fleshed out to bring the characters to three dimensions without overwhelming detail. the pace is engaging, not to fast or slow. Vance is the perfect narrator for this. I hadn't heard of the author beforehand, but he is a master of the craft. I already picked up the next in series, Sin Eater, looking forward to it.

if Trump was a dragon

not perfect but all in all, better than most. would like to have seen more character development and less filler. really liked the portrayal of dragons. voice acting was great, but sometimes they the editor forgets to apply the effect to the dragon's voice and it throws you off.

it feels real, trials of life and transition

reminded me of my younger self looking for my soulmate and then learning to live with each other. It has depth and it is engaging. This is a nice change from an increasing amount of barely edited drivel.
