Important discussion about intelligence

The authors present a wealth of information about learning in general and reasons for differences in performance in this area between the various races and cultures in the United States. Shutting the discussion down because of “political correctness “ helps no one. They give many excellent suggestions on how to move forward in order that all may prosper and do well in our society.

A strong statement

Mr London gives an excellent description of life in the poor sections of London in the early 1900s. It was brave of him to immerse himself so deeply in that abyss as he so aptly describes it. As always I thoroughly enjoyed his writing style and cogent analysis of events that took place.

Fine story

I think this story will resonate more with people who have been on the water and fished a bit themselves. The movie I watched years ago by the same title does not begin to do the writing justice, although it was still a good movie in its own right. Also now that I’m getting on in age myself that aspect of the story hits home too.

I found the information quite interesting. The narrator did a fine job too. I think if I had read this prior to starting my high school chemistry class I would have gotten a lot more out of it.

Amazing story

The movie I watched decades ago did not do justice to the actual story of the HMS Bounty. This is a fine historical recounting with a properly matched narrator. I was also impressed with the excellent command of the English language that even ordinary seamen displayed back then.

I loved this audiobook. I thought the narrator was a good fit too. This book tells several stories and communicates on several different levels.

Joy to listen to.

Mr Conrad has a great command of the English language. I tend to get lost in how he puts together his narrative, the beauty of it. Great to listen to. The narrator did an excellent job too.
