Spong contends that there is mounting pressure among Christians for a radically new kind of Christianity - a faith deeply connected to the human experience instead of outdated dogma.

Historia
In Accidental Saints, New York Times best-selling author Nadia Bolz-Weber invites readers into a surprising encounter with what she calls "a religious but not-so-spiritual life." Tattooed, angry and profane, this former standup comic turned pastor stubbornly, sometimes hilariously, resists the God she feels called to serve. But God keeps showing up in the least likely of people - a church-loving agnostic, a drag queen, a felonious Bishop and a gun-toting member of the NRA.

A refreshing candid Christian witness
Revisado: 01-03-18
Pastor Nadia Bolz-Weber's book is for everyone wondering if they fit in the church. The answer in ACCIDENTAL SAINTS may surprise you, give you hope, and help you appreciate a Bible/Christian witness that you don't often hear. Her teaching is atypical, truthful, and would be welcome in a bar, army barrack, or a coffee house - but not in many typical churches. I dare you to listen to this book!

Historia
When she was suddenly given the opportunity of a new life in rural Jutland, journalist and archetypal Londoner Helen Russell discovered a startling statistic: the happiest place on earth isn't Disneyland but Denmark, a land often thought of by foreigners as consisting entirely of long, dark winters, cured herring, Lego and pastries. What is the secret to their success? Are happy Danes born or made?

Great Story- Great Performance
Revisado: 09-12-16
Klune doesn't disappoint in this fairy tale mixed with modern day romance. I was captivated by his skillful and imaginative writing! Likewise, the story telling expertise of Leslie is A+. The way he interprets Klune's words was simply delightful. I have no clue how he can master multiple voices as he so masterfully does. You will find yourself laughing out loud as you listen to this tale.

Family Faith and the prodigal son
Revisado: 06-22-16
On one level this is an amazing beautiful story about tender love between two men, in which one of them is severely broken. It is also a story about a strict Mormon family and their gay son, who comes to terms with God and his family while remaining true to himself.

Historia
Raymond has to get his act together and find a place of his own. But when out-and-proud David Butler offers to be his roommate, Raymond agrees for reasons other than needing a place to crash. David is Raymond's opposite in almost every way - he's Connecticut prim and proper while Raymond is a sarcastic longshoreman from Queens - but their friendship is solid. Their closeness surprises everyone as does their not-so-playful flirtation, since Raymond has always kept his bi-curious side a secret.

Historia
Acupuncturist Michael Whitman is a single dad struggling to make ends meet. When a mutual friend refers Jason as a patient, and Jason suggests a roommate arrangement to alleviate their respective financial strains, Michael jumps at the opportunity. But Jason soon finds himself regretting it - he's too damn attracted to Michael, and living with him is harder than he thought it'd be. In fact, the temptation to act on his feelings would almost be too much if not for the fact that Michael is straight. Or at least, that's what their mutual friend claims.

Love blooming in the midst of personal struggle.
Revisado: 06-01-16
I found the story very interesting and liked the patient/ doctor interpersonal struggle, as well as the other struggles inherent to owning a business and coming out.
I was not a fan of the performer, as his voices sounded more classically trained, than two West Coast 30 year olds.
