Historia
Saint-Malo, Brittany, 1758. To Lucinde Leon, the youngest daughter of a wealthy French shipowner, the high walls of Saint-Malo are more hindrance than haven. While her sisters are busy trying to secure advantageous marriages, Luce spends her days secretly being taught to sail by Samuel, her best friend—and an English smuggler. Only he understands how the waves call to her. Then one stormy morning, Luce rescues a drowning man from the sea.

Best mermaid book I’ve ever read. And one of my favorite books in general to boot.

Historia
It was a glittering event full of A-listers, hosted by Eliza Lane and Brant Fitzhugh, a celebrity couple who’d conquered both Hollywood and Broadway. And now Eve Dallas has made her entrance—but not as a guest. After raising a toast, Fitzhugh fell to the floor and died, with physical symptoms pointing to cyanide, and the police have crashed the party. From all accounts, he wasn’t the kind of star who made enemies. Everyone loved him—even his ex-wife. And since the champagne cocktail that killed him was originally intended for Eliza, it’s possible she was the real target.

❤️❤️❤️
Revisado: 02-24-23
There is not another long, running series, not even half of this long, that I haven’t got bored with. Here we are, 50 some odd books in, and I enjoy each one, either equal to or more than the last. I know it’s not reasonable, but I hope they never stop! This one didn’t end the way I wanted it to, actually the way I hoped it wouldn’t, that made me love it all the more. JD Robb tells a story as it’s supposed to be told; that’s pretty awesome! And as far as the reviews speculating, she’s not writing these herself anymore… Eve is giving the biggest eye roll at that!

Historia
Ten years and many boyfriends later, Cassidy Winters finally returns to the ancestral home of his late grandmother, Sadie Hart, despite the best efforts of his father to prevent it. Cassidy's plans of a quiet, seaside ceremony to wish a final farewell to Sadie quickly unravel. Interruptions run roughshod, beginning with Neil, who walks out of the ocean and straight into Cassidy's bed. The dominos topple one by one and news of his arrival spreads faster than Cassidy's legs, bringing his boyhood friend and first love, Nate Sommers, to his doorstep.

Any additional comments?
This refers to the audiobook version---
If you are in the mood for a small beach town, adorable boys, one riot of a grandma, an adorable dog, with lots of snark, sex, and sass, you will love this book. The narration was perfect for this tale, easy enough to keep the tone light and, and fun, but able to give the heavier aspects the depth they deserved.
