Historia
In 12 Rules for Life, clinical psychologist and celebrated professor at Harvard and the University of Toronto Dr. Jordan B. Peterson helped millions impose order on the chaos of their lives. Now, in this bold sequel, Peterson delivers 12 more lifesaving principles for resisting the exhausting toll that our desire to order the world inevitably takes. In a time when the human will increasingly imposes itself over every sphere of life - from our social structures to our emotional states - Peterson warns that too much security is dangerous.

Revisado: 06-04-18
Truly a work of art, and David Allan has put together a simple yet elegant and effective system for clarifying processing and keeping everything except what is the task at hand out of your mind. I find this book to be very valuable and I am buying copies for three of my friends. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I have.

Truly thankful for Dan’s open and free description of his journey to enlightened indifference and how he maintained caring just enough to succeed while wrangling in the ego, or inner chimp. Great book.

Historia
Why have history's greatest minds - from George Washington to Frederick the Great to Ralph Waldo Emerson along with today's top performers, from Super Bowl-winning football coaches to CEOs and celebrities - embraced the wisdom of the ancient Stoics? Because they realize that the most valuable wisdom is timeless and that philosophy is for living a better life, not a classroom exercise. The Daily Stoic offers a daily devotional of Stoic insights and exercises, featuring all-new translations.

I slowly went through the entire audiobook and it has been awesome. I look to Marcus Arelius for guidance through adversity, Epictetus and Seneca for guidance on happiness and work life balance. This book is truly a must read.

Historia
The widening gap between rich and poor means dealing with one big, uncomfortable truth: If you're not at the top, you're at the bottom. The global labor market is changing radically thanks to growth at the high end and the low. About three quarters of the jobs created in the United States since the great recession pay only a bit more than minimum wage. Still, the United States has more millionaires and billionaires than any country ever, and we continue to mint them.

A little tedious at times, but very relevant for modern day couples trying to work through their own underlying subconscious blockages.

Liberals scoff when conservatives denounce Obama and his policies as socialist. After all, they argue, Obama isn’t Stalin and America is nothing like the Soviet Union. But socialism doesn’t always resemble the Berlin Wall or the Iron Curtain, as National Review editor Kevin Williamson proves in his new book, The Politically Incorrect Guide to Socialism.

Historia
This is a study of how intellectuals as a class affect modern societies by shaping the climate of opinion in which official policies develop, on issues ranging from economics to law to war and peace. You will hear a withering and clear-eyed critique about (but not for) intellectuals that explores their impact on public opinion, policy, and society at large.

Who was Friedrich Nietzsche? This lonely and chronically ill, yet passionate, daring, and complex man is perhaps the most mysterious and least understood of all contemporary philosophers. Why are his brilliant insights so relevant for today? How did he become the most misinterpreted and unfairly maligned intellectual figure of the last two centuries?
