Rival Secrets is Cassie and Evan’s story and kicks off the Love Over Murder series. Cassie is a lawyer who dreams of being a chef and finally takes the step to participate in a cooking competition in Las Vegas. What promises to be an exciting opportunity turns sour when murder is on the table and the plot thickens. There is plenty of suspense as the murder investigation unravels. Evan has secrets, but he is drawn to Cassie. I like how their relationship unfolds, even in the midst of the investigation. This is a fun, steamy romantic suspense with excellent humor and great characters to drive the Love over Murder series. I’m looking forward to more!

Narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Shane East is fantastic! They work so well together with great timing and chemistry. Both of them are excellent performers and I always know I will enjoy any project with these two. I was very excited to receive this advanced listen.

Love Me Fierce is book 4 in the Love Me Dangerous series and lives up to its name. This small-town romance features Everett and Vivian and hits the ground running with Vivian coming across an accident in a snowstorm and calling it in. Everett is a Finn River police officer who responds to the accident and her traumatic history with cops has her on edge and trying to avoid him in spite of any attraction. Everett is a great character who slowly works his way into her confidence with his patience and charm and the undercurrent of their steamy connection. Vivian is the new nurse in town and is starting over again. She’s very brave and I love how she evolves to find her place in the world (while frightening and then giving in to her intense attraction to Everett). They are both single parents. There is a looming threat that adds suspense and delivers the perfect push for unexpected twists and turns as they try to solve several mysteries.

Narration by Gregory Salinas and Jill Smith is well done with excellent variation in characters and great performances throughout the story. Great casting for a book with characters of all ages and temperaments. I am really enjoying every book in this series!

Excellent fantasy world of magic with a rich complex history and very intriguing rules of magic. Just when I thought I knew what would happen the story took a hard turn - every time! Really enjoying all of the complex characters, heroes, peoples, creatures, and absolutely devastating losses. I can't wait to see what happens next! Derek Perkins is a fantastic narrator who really brings this story to life with his stunning performance!

Finding Home is a rockstar, single-dad, small town romance that really hit me in the feels! Caleb is a troubled man who made some reactionary choices he later regrets. Two years later, after he has missed out on the first 2 years of his daughter’s life, he is in the midst of his own personal meltdown when his daughter, Raine, suffers the devastating loss of her mother. He has the opportunity to step in and protect her from the world and make up for lost time. Aubrey is Raine’s mother’s best friend and roommate, and has been with her since the beginning. She is Raine’s champion and caregiver who has the child’s best interest as her #1 priority when they return home to her small town to start over. This sets the stage for the bad boy drummer to return home to the small town he has been avoiding so he can meet his daughter. He isn’t expecting Aubrey to knock him flat in all of the best ways! I’m all in for this emotional rollercoaster with a bad-boy drummer and his newfound family with Aubrey and !

Andi Arndt and Sean Masters perform in duet with such wonderful flair! Andi is already a favorite, but Sean is fairly new to me. I’m definitely adding him to my list of favorites with that growly quality of his voice and his consummate perfection and eye to the performance! They were great together and I really enjoyed this audiobook and recommend it.

Most Valuable Playboy is book 1 in the Ballers and Bakes series and brings us a football romance that will hit you in all of the feels! Cooper is such a great guy who just happens to be sweet, sexy, fun, and one of the most eligible bachelors on the team. Violet is the perfect spunky, confident, strong, beautiful, sexy woman. Together they are perfection! This story has so many great tropes I knew I would love it: Friends to lovers, fake to forever, forbidden - best friend’s sister…all of the best ones! These are characters I would want to know because they are flawed and learning, vulnerable and strong, and they are beautiful humans who make the world a better place. I love it!

Lauren delivers another beautifully written and perfectly casted audiobook that had me hooked from beginning to end. Cooper + Violet are a wonderful couple with the perfect voices to bring them to life. This re-release narrated by Jason Clarke and Andi Arndt brings new life to a wonderful story I already loved. Their duet performance is absolutely delightful!!

Love Me Fearless is book 3 in the Love Me Dangerous series by Dakota Davies. This is a friends to lovers, second chance, small-town romance with characters who are both beautifully stubborn and independent. Ava and Hutch have so much chemistry, but the angst is high and there is an underlying threat from her past threatening everything. We learn more about a local mystery that is a common thread throughout the series. Each book could be read independently just fine, though. I like the amount of small town nostalgia with suspenseful mystery and steamy romance that drives the second-chance friends to lovers that I really enjoyed. The side characters in the small town are a nice bonus, whether or not you have read other books in the series. All in all, I am looking forward to more in this series and have added Dakota Davies to my list of favorites.

Narration by Laura Horowitz and Robert Hatchet is really excellent. They are both favorite performers who really bring the story to life and engross you in the experience. They both have soothing voices, a talented range, and excellent timing. I am narrator motivated and really enjoyed their performance!

Royal romance that ticked every one of my boxes!

Rags to Royals is a royal romance that ticked every one of my boxes and kept me invested in the story and characters from beginning to end! It’s steamy and involves a second chance with a prince who has found his match only for her to disappear after setting him on the path to passion projects they discussed in their short time together. He is looking for her, but she has secrets and is set on disappearing back into her small town. This story does show another side to small towns, the one you don’t see unless you are in it. Scarlett is trying to make up for past mistakes and many people in town can’t (or will not) let her show them who she really is. Ruby and Mariah are great characters and a wonderful support network.

Erin Nicholle manages to pull together some wonderful tropes you never thought could cooperate and makes the story fun as Cian and Scarlett explore the possibilities. I love the way they fit together like puzzle pieces in spite of their very different upbringings. Cian is an expert-level dirty talker who is head over heels and every delicious moment builds a beautiful story as she lets down her guard and allows herself to fall for him just as he gets to know her family and understand her history. They really do bring out the best in each other! Every book in this series so far has been a true delight!

Connor Crais and Amelia Hugh perform this story in duet beautifully! From the dirty talking to the sweet moments and even the pain, they are both excellent voice actors who bring the story to life. Amelia is new to me, but I really enjoyed her performance and look forward to more. Connor is excellent as the cheeky, fun-loving prince with a heart of gold who can dirty talk with the best of them.

The Proposal Play features Asher and Maeve in a best friends to lovers, fake marriage, forced proximity, hockey star falls hard first with all the feels! Maeve is an artist on the cusp of a budding career and spends a lot of time hustling. That is, when she isn't inciting shenanigans and going on fun adventures with Asher, the swoony hockey star with a wonderful personality in a perfect book boyfriend package. I just love his family and his friendship with Becket, Maeve’s brother. They have a great support system and it’s perfect for Lauren’s world of wonderful characters who love and support each other. I always feel safe in Lauren’s world, and this book is no exception. Asher loves to help others and is dealing with some issues that really connect with my experience with anxiety. I don’t want to give any spoilers, but I really felt seen and identified with Asher in this story! Asher and Maeve have a wonderful friendship that turns to love, eventually… While they figure out the “feelings” part and embrace their attraction (and stop torturing each other), the steamy scenes are absolute perfection! Asher has that dirty talk down to expert level. All of the characters are great, especially Ruby Roo! I love how they each have a support group of friends who help pull them through their denial. Super naughty, super fun, and extremely adorable!

Robert Hatchet and Vanessa Edwin perform in duet and it is absolute audio perfection! Their timing is excellent and it makes the banter so engaging and wonderful! I was swept up in the story and really enjoyed this audiobook. This is another example of excellence in casting, editing, and all the other minutiae of tasks to deliver a truly excellent audiobook. Lauren’s passion for audio shines through and is very much appreciated.
