Historia
Newly minted doctor Jane McGill is in hell. Not literally, of course. But between her drug addict patients, sleepless nights on call, and battling wits with the sadistic yet charming Sexy Surgeon, Jane can’t imagine an afterlife much worse than her first month of medical internship at County Hospital. And then there’s the devil herself: Jane’s senior resident Dr. Alyssa Morgan. When Alyssa becomes absolutely hell-bent on making her new interns pay tenfold for the deadly sin of incompetence, Jane starts to worry that she may not make it through the year with her soul or her sanity still intact.

Awful.
Revisado: 11-06-24
Anyone who works in the medical field will be truly offended by the poor portrayal and I toughed it out to finish just to get pleasantly surprised by a usual McFadden twist and THERE WASN’T ONE! I’ve listened to nearly all her books and this isn’t her! I’m still in shock. Love ya Freida, I won’t let this book dull your sparkle in my heart!

Historia
Trying to find some normalcy during the COVID-19 pandemic, Brian Murphy and his family are on a summer excursion in Cape Cod when his wife, Emma, comes down with concerning flu-like symptoms. But their leisurely return home to New York City quickly becomes a race to the local hospital as she suddenly begins seizing in the car. At the ICU, she is diagnosed with eastern equine encephalitis, a rare and highly lethal mosquito-borne viral disease seemingly caught during one of their evening cookouts.

AWFUL!
Revisado: 09-13-22
If you know anything about healthcare, work in healthcare (esp through pandemic) DO NOT read this. This is only my second robin cook book but I just could not believe how terrible it was, I finished it in hopes it would have a plot twist at the end and it didn't... it was so bad.

After a year of intense therapy I thought I was cured until I ran into an insurmountable amount of stress at work, school & balancing my family. I finished this book in less than 48 hours because my soul needed this! I feel as if it pulled me out of the darkness and I’m climbing out telling myself “girl, you CAN do this!”

Good Points
Revisado: 06-21-21
Currently in therapy for stress management, it was helpful to hear quite a few things in this book that I have discussed in therapy. Overall, this is a pretty good book, I know life coaches are a popular gig right now but the writer openly admits she has no education to lead to “life coaching.” There are many tips in the book that you can apply to living a happier, more fulfilled life and she tries to motivate you to do your best. She kind of reminds me of a Rachel Hollis from a different perspective… not saying it as a good or bad thing, just my opinion. There were a few things I disagreed with but overall more good/solid recommendations over bad so you just gotta take what you need from it!

Historia
Never Never, a novella series. Book one of three. Best friends since they could walk. In love since the age of 14. Complete strangers since this morning. He'll do anything to remember. She'll do anything to forget. This novella is recommended for people age 16+ due to mild language and sexual content.

I wish I could give it 0 stars!!
Revisado: 06-16-21
This is the ONLY bad Colleen Hoover novel I've listened to or read. I become engulfed in her novels and binge on them to find out the ending. SKIP THIS ONE! I'm sorry Colleen, you have incredible books but this one isn't worth the $. I requested a refund.

Beautifully Heart Wrenching
Revisado: 08-06-16
Did not love the voice of the reader but the story was so good I kept going. Although I can't personally relate to abuse in the family it helped me understand it from an outside perspective. If you are a fan of ANY of Colleen's books this is a MUST read/listen. She captures your heart and has it engulfed all the way till the very end, I love how she can make me feel the emotions the characters are experiencing. Guarantee if you start this you won't won't to stop till its over!
