12 Books in and I’m still wowed!

Mark Greaney never disappoints with his Gray Man series. This is the 12th installment and I still love this character as if it was the first time. I’m so glad to see Court’s softer side again with Zoya and as always, I love the action throughout the story. I can’t wait to see where the next installment takes us. Great story Mark Greaney!

Awesome, Heroic and Touching!

I have nothing but the ultimate respect for the men and women serving in our armed forces. I especially have a great admiration for the of the Navy Seals and other special forces. These guys are a special gift from God, to the United States. I am so proud that they are fighting for us. This book had my emotions all over the place, from anxious , to angry and to sad but most of all, proud. Proud of the brave men. This book is great honor to all the men who lost their lives serving this country and I just hope that we as a country can attempt to repay that honor by giving these men all the respect, admiration, honor and anything they need, of which they fully deserve and are due. Thank you Marcus Luttrell for sharing your heart with us, the readers and people who will never understand what it is to serve as you do. My God this is an Awesome Read!

Prada Plan 3: Not Really

Would you try another book from Ashley Antoinette and/or Honey Jones?

Yes because in a fan of Ashley's writing.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would have made YaYa behave more like the queen pin she was trying to be and I definitely would have had her kill Leah.

What three words best describe Honey Jones’s performance?

It was OK.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No...unfortunately it would only be a "B" movie.

Well I'm sorry to say I wasn't moved by this book at all. I'm a fan of Ashley Antoinette and will remain so but this was not one of my favorites. The story wasn't at all about the "Green-Eyed Monster" no more than the 1st two books. I think it should have been called, "The Prada Plan 3: YaYa's Pity Party." We never got to see YaYa really do anything with all the power she supposedly has. We don't get to see much of Chase and the street side of things. What we do get alot of, is YaYa's pity party about all the stuff she's been through, trying to explain why she's addicted to pain pills now. Granted, she has been through a hell of alot. More than I've ever been through, but it just got old and boring to me. I thought it was really crazy that she sends an 18 year old to prison to take out YaYa and then when she's finally able to take out YaYa herself, she grows a conscience. This story was just OK to me. I'm not going to bash the author because I think she's truly talented, along with her mate JaQuavis, but I do hope a lil more effort and time is put into the 4th installment...ijs

A Father's Love!

What did you love best about BoneMan's Daughters?

The change Ryan made in his life and how determined he was to save her.

What other book might you compare BoneMan's Daughters to and why?

I don't believe I've read a book quite like this one.

Which scene was your favorite?

Without giving too much away, but if I had to pick one scene, it would be the part at the end where Bethany makes the right decision to fix her problem for good.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely!

Great Story!

Would you consider the audio edition of French Silk to be better than the print version?

I would because hearing the words spoken like they should be said by a good narrator makes all the difference and makes the story come alive.

What was one of the most memorable moments of French Silk?

The first love scene between Cassidy and Claire was extremely HOT and erotic.

What about Renée Raudman’s performance did you like?

Her acting was very good and her voices of each character was very distinctive.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I didn't have an extreme reaction to this book but I enjoyed it very much.
I'm a Sandra Brown fan and she never disappoints.

Good Story and Very Hot!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this story because it was well written and kept you interested in the main characters and most importantly, because it lives up to it's genre. It was extremely erotic in a very real way.

What did you like best about this story?

I'm a sucker for happy endings and this story did not disappoint in that area.

What three words best describe Elenna Stauffer’s performance?

Average at best.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I didn't have an extreme reaction but it did leave me with a good feeling and yes I both laughed and cried(a little).

I really enjoyed this book. It's a good story with some very sexy scenes. The narrators voice as Ella, the main character, was pretty good, but I did not like the narrator's male voices. The tone threw me off as well as how she said certain things. The tone just wasn't right sometimes. It comes across as bad acting.

Intriguing, Engrossing, Thrilling and Suspenseful

This was my first Gillian Flynn novel and it was a really good read.  The whole story had me on a roller coaster ride. The ups and downs… the twists and turns…  By the end of the story, I was a bit worn out but my curiosity of how the story would end held me captive.  Nick and his wife Amy are some pretty sad individuals.  I felt more pity for Nick though, and I kept rooting for him, wanting him to win, so to speak.  The ending of the novel totally jacked me up.  I was in a daze, like, Wow!  Really!

When I’m reading a book or looking at a movie, it’s a form of escapism for me so I really love happy endings. Life itself has too many harsh endings and tough lessons to deal with, so when I read or look at movies, I like to come away with a good feeling or at least have learned something.  That being said, I did not like the ending of this book.   Not only did it not end happy for Nick or anyone else, but it also felt incomplete.  I was on such a high and so engrossed in the story, and then all of a sudden…SPLAT, the story takes a deep fall off a tall building and that’s it…it’s over.

Although I did not like the ending, it does not take away from the story so much that I would not give this book a good rating.  But it does keep me from giving it 5 stars, but it’s really on the cusp for me, definitely a 4.5.

Very Very Good Book

This book is definitely in my Top 30.  If I had to rank it with books in it's own genre, it would be in my Top 20.

Art Montana and Callan would have to be my favorite characters. Art, becuase he's a good guy with morals and a conscience but with issues.  Callan is my fav because he's a bad guy who has a heart and who could be a good guy.  He's very likeable. 

I loved everything about Ray Porter's narration.  This is not my first time hearing him and I always enjoy hearing him. His voice is awesome! He makes the books he does even better. I didn't find anything wrong with his narration.

This book is 20+ hours but it didn't feel like it all.  I was hoping there was another book involving some of these characters, but I didn't find one.  So I'm just going to listen to another Don Winslow book that's narrated by Ray Porter...on to The Dawn Patrol.

Really Good Story!

What made the experience of listening to Separation of Power the most enjoyable?

The story line in and of itself made this listening experience enjoyable. It completed all the unanswered questions from The Third Option and held me captive all the way through.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I stayed on the edge of my seat, not because there was so much action in this novel like some of the others, but because there was a lot going on. I loved how when you left one situation, the author would leave you with a bit of a ciff-hanger. I would be anxious to get back to that situation. But as I kept on reading, I'd find myself caught up again, only to find myself getting left with another mini cliff-hanger. It was great!

What three words best describe Ken Kilban’s performance?

Intense, dramatic and overdone

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The whole scene when Mitch comes home after the raid on Bagdad moved me deeply. The chemisty between him and Anna is wonderful.

Any additional comments?

I was a bit thrown by the narrators dramatic voice and intensity but I continued to listen because I'm a Mitch Rapp fan. I'm glad I continued to listen because the story was awesome. The ending was so appropriate.

I would definitely recommend this audiobook to a friend because it's full of intensity, action and is overall a great read/listen!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Transfer of Power?

All the scenes of Mitch in the White House are memorable.

What about Nick Sullivan’s performance did you like?

Nick does a pretty good job with the different voices. You can always tell who's talking.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scene that moved me was when Mitch Rapp felt he couldn't sit by and let a devistating act occur to this young woman even though he knew he could possiblly jepardize his whole mission. The tenderness he displayed with the young woman let you see the human side him as well.

Any additional comments?

I am a huge Mitch Rapp fan and would love to see this character go on and on.
