Henry and Ivo

They have been in love and have been best friends since they were teenagers. Afraid of losing each other they decide to just be friends . Ivo a foreign photojournalist comes back home to Henry injured and they individually decide their love is still strong. I really loved the book and Henry is so strong I couldn’t wait for the audio. Joel Leslie’s narration was a big disappointment. He always sounds as if he is on the verge of tears. His accents are good. That is the only positive I can say about his narration.

A disappointment

I this story is about a very serious subject of partner abuse and a a speech disability that causes

low-self-esteem. There are positive parts of the book but between the whining of the MC and the whiny voice of Joel Leslie I just couldn’t take it. Lily Morton’s books are usually some of my favorites but I am sad to say this was a disappointment.

Posh meets Shepard

One of the things I liked about this story was how ChArlie Novak described and introduced the two MCs. We understood the differences of their daily lives and where they where in their heads. I liked both Jamie and Will and how they came together. This has been my favorite in the series so far.

A disappointment

I usually love Lily Morton’s men but I just couldn’t find Gideon sympathetic at all. I thought he was a real. Whining character and I just couldn’t see how Eli could be attracted to him. Although I will always buy her books this is the last time I will buy one of her audio books. I just can’t stand Joel Leslie’s narration. He always sounds as if he is about to burst into tears.

Delightful story

This is a very funny story. Of all of Lily Morton’s story this is my favorite because it is the first one I read. All the characters are warm and silly. The only negative thing about this audio is Joel Leslie’s narration. He doesn’t do comedy very well and he has a whining type of voice. But the story is good and worth the listen.

Everything I have wanted in a romance

Lucien and Jay are about to awaken from deep sadness and confusion to love and joy. The two protagonists in this book are so deserving of happiness. At last a story were no one is mean to one another. I never give a five star rating, but I thought this book deserved it. Also Richard Stranks was wonderful as the narrator. When I first heard him I thought oh no, but boy was I wrong. Richard was perfect. I hope they bring out the other books of this series in audio and Richard Stranks reads all of them.

I just couldn’t get over Joel Leslie’s voice

Joel Leslie ruined this book for me. I have noticed that the more popular he has become the more he over acts. I have decided to stop listening to any book he narrates.
