Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Excellent narrator
Revisado: 03-25-22
The book was gripping, heart wrenching and beautiful. BEST narratorated book I've ever listed too. I could listen to her voice forever. She added an extra element to the book with her gentle tones, the emotion in her voice and slight accents for each of the different caracters.
Highly recommend.

Historia
In When the Body Says No, physician and writer Gabor Maté explores the mind-body link and the connection between stress and disease. Can a person literally die of loneliness? Is there a relationship between the ability to express emotions and Alzheimer’s disease? Is there such a thing as a “cancer personality”? Drawing on scientific research and years of experience as a practicing physician, Maté provides answers to these and other important questions.

TO THE ROOT
Revisado: 07-15-21
This book goes to the root, answering so, so many questions I have been seeking, some questions were burning, some before thought process, YET. On one hand I didn't want it to end, on the other, it's probably a good thing it did. It is so informative and thought provoking, it's time now to reflect and apply. This is truley life changing for me.

Historia
On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

Revisado: 05-31-20
This book is brilliant!
The content explained so much to me. Emotions and feelings I didn't understand are now so clear. I couldn't take notes fast enough (thank goodness for the pause button). it was wonderful having Brene' narrator shes funny, passionate and so dedicated to helping us figure out the messy stuff. I have truly been blessed by this book.
